Great Location, but hotel needs work

The location was great, right outside of our window we could see Fenway. My boyfriend and I stayed here just to visit the city, for 2 nights. But hotel smelt musky like baby powder, perhaps to hide stench? Room was old just as amenities. Beds are uncomfortable. Stay here if you are on a budget, but if you have more money to spend, spend extra to stay in a nicer hotel!

Right behind the hotel and behind Fenway Park, there were cool paces to go at night. Some friends took us to Landsdowne Pub, great night life spot!

NEVER AGAIN

We went to Boston to visit the many museums and to experience the city for the first time. We ended up leaving a day early because the AC in the room was more like a heater and no one could sleep. It appeared that the hotel had not been updated since the early 80's and there wasn't anything that didn't have a stain on it. I spoke with management about the AC and they advised that the system probably should be replaced. The outside temp. while we were there was in the mid 80's and it was hotter inside the room. I also tried to get some type of refund but of course that was out of the question. I've traveled all over the country and this was the worst ever.

Horrible

The room was horrible. I've never stayed in a hotel that doesn't have A/C. When we checked in (after a 7 hour drive) the hotel was hot and humid. We get to the room and the room temperature is in the upper 70s. When I called down to the front desk to ask how to turn the AC on, the front desk clerk told me that by law, they couldn't turn the AC on until May 15th and that the only thing that worked was the heat (and acted like I should have already known that). The window in the room barely openned. I could have stayed at home for free and been more comfortable instead of paying a good amount of money for a room with no AC. There was nothing on the website stating the AC issue. As someone who suffers from horrible allergies, I cannot sleep with a window that barely opens all night. The only plus to this hotel was it's location to Fenway, other then that I cannot say anything good about this hotel. They rent out parking spaces to people in Fenway so when we pulled into the parking lot we got yelled at for not paying the parking fee right off the bat.

location, location, location

Quick walk to House of Blues, not the greatest but good deal. Housekeeper opened door in the morning which wasn't too cool, otherwise it was a decent stay.

Good location, decent hotel

The parking is $20 a night additional, and there was no breakfast included. The windows in the room were very drafty and did not seal properly.

Good value

Was attending a conference at Hynes Convention Center -- much cheaper to stay here, nice 15 min walk to the Convention center (except on rainy days), nice 10 min walk to Green line, good neighborhood. Free WiFi. Friendly staff, although they didn't seem to know the bus stops very well. Lotsa restaurants, convenience stores nearby. Provided a room w/fridge upon request. No complaints!
