Nice, but too loud!

Hotel is in a nice location, though a loud enviroment. They should consider to change their windows! However the rest was fine.

Disappointed

Hotel located on a small street, was a bit scary having to walk back at night. Not very well lit. First visit to Boston. Location wasn't as close to the central location as expected. Staff were ok, weren't exceptional. Previous visit to Holiday Inn Express in Canada was, on the other hand, awsome. This specific one needed to more work in the upkeeping. Room were a bit stuffy. We had an oddly shaped room where we had to sleep facing the door.

Overbooked, but handled

They overbooked our reservation. We had to be sent to a hotel outside of the city for our first night, even though we had prepaid for 2 nights.

Make concessions for moderate price

small rooms, small elevator, strange windows--it's an older building. Staff friendly and helpful--location close to trolley stop. Evenings were very noisy--lots of hollering outside--close to sports arena--got quiet after 11pm. rooms clean and pleasant.

Close to events at TD Banknorth

Was able to check in early (took the train so arrived around 10:30 am) staff very friendly - room needs updating. Location is perfect for TD Banknorth so worth overlooking the small thing.

Walking distance to downtown Boston and attractions. Nice location if you can get a good price on room. Staff very friendly and helpful - rooms dated and in serious need of upgrading.

Great Location

The location was excellent, right across the street from the TD Garden in the North End. The design of the hotel was very Ikea. The condition of the room was fair. Although the spare pillow in the closet did have a hair on it which tells me it wasnt washed. All other sheets and pillows looked fine.

There are bars everywhere. Great places to drink and your hotel room is only across the street.

Value at a price

Good location with easy access to public transportation; room size generous. Building is run down and bathroom in particular was getto; broken tiles were not replaced.

Please Fix the Air Conditioning!

Although the rooms were nice and clean, it would have been nice if the air conditioning was working on a hot July night! The room had a window fan in the room which made it bearable, but I had a feeling this was an ongoing problem. The hotel is located on a very dark and somewhat "sketchy" street. Parking is available about 3 blocks away in a parking garage.

rooms without window

The location is great. Most tourist locations are in walking distance. However, the area is very noisy and you hear the street noise all the night. One thing I hated about our room is that it didn't have window!!! Hotel staff told us that only a few rooms have windows... The room was not clean; corners of the room were full of dead insects!

Very dissatisfying

After we checked in, we did not find the room equipped with necessary towels to take a shower. The walls of the room were dirty and the conditionsof the mattrass of the bed there were no support and we could feel the springs through the mattress. Having to spend the night in was a mess. The place of the location was horrible, as e.g. there were no parking and the hotel itself not even mentioned it. For an overnight parking we had pay US-$ 65. The reception staff was not helpfull and not friendly. They did not attend to the guests instead taking more care on their own stuff. So resuming the price per night of US-$ was much to high with regard of the services offered.
