The room was one of the nicest ones we have ever stayed in. It was beatiful and had lots of comforts and the view of the harbor was nice too. The hotel was centraly located near everything we wanted to see and visit. This trip was just for the 2 of us to enjoy ourselves in a place we had never been. If the weather (cold and raining) had cooparated it would have been even better.

[...] It was over $200/night, and still a $35 cab ride away from the airport and $20 back.

The Cop
A great but not excellent hotel
We went to Boston for the weekend. The Fairmount Battery is a great hotel, but I still think it is a true robbery to charge 42 USD per night for parking your car) especially since this can be done a four minute walk from the hotel at a cost of 14 USD per night). Service, over all, was very good. People working the front desk was with few exceptions very helpful. Our room was very nice, well equipped, although a bit noisy (could hear the elevator "ping"). The DVD was not installed, but a friendly man from auxiliary service managed that for us. If you can accept this expensive hotel, they will not let you down. From what we hear though, the restaurant does need trimming on both chefs and service personal.
