Not the best
I arrived at night, and was a little put out at the darnkess of the hotel. Lightning around the area was not good. I was put into a smoking room when I requested a non-smoking. That meant load up the luggage and go back to the front desk. They could only accommodate me in a non-smoking room for 2 of my 3 nights. I travel alone quite a lot for business, and I never felt "comfortable" in this hotel. The walls were a horrid bright aqua green. When I sat on the bed it made a "crinkling" sound, like there was a rubber mattress on the bed. The beds were NOT comfortable. The towels were dirty and stained. I only stayed in this room for one night until I found a nicer hotel that I could switch to. Would definately not stay here again.

Short drive from hotel
Monroe is not really a "walking" city. There were several dining options available within "seing" distance. Lots of shopping. Close to Walmart, Hobby Lobby, and others. The driveway is very difficult to find. Pull into the Chevron gas station parking lot and the hotel is behind it.

Check for non-smoking rooms
Arrived at night and turn in to hotel was difficult to find. Had to try 3 "non-smoking rooms" to find one that hadn't been smoked in. The TV remote didn't work in the bedroom and there were no kleenex in the kleenex box. The clerk on duty was very accomodating and attentive, however, which is why we decided to stay there. Oh yeah, the fan in the bedroom could only be run on low speed because it shook so violently.
