WONDERFUL HOTEL

Not a good place to stay
Staff very friendly. Book two night, stayed only one. Moved from first room -- dirty, dirty, dirty. Mold everywhere in bath, Dust and dirt everywhere. Broken furniture. SMELLED bad. Bed spreads had holes, tattered. Same for blankets. Entrance, stairway and access to stairs dirty, had spills, old paint and cigarette butts.

good locaation for the price
We needed a place to stay while doing some ministry work. Overall hotel was good. Our coffepot was broke and they did not fix it. We did not have washclothes put back in our room. Would stay again, people were friendly.

Magnuson Hotel
went for a wedding at Hemingbough. It was hard to find a reservation because of the Angola Rodeo. I settled for the first place I could find. It was just okay.

You get what you pay for
It was a good location for going off and doing day trips to the surrounding antibellum homes that were open for tours. To be fair the Magnuson is going thru a transition from a Quality Inn to the Magnuson. Our bath was not real clean and had mold growing on the walls around the tub. The carpet was damp and sort of sticky. Since we left at the last minute this was one of the few places to stay as the B and Bs were booked up.With alittle cleaning up it could be a decent place.
