Ambassador Inn Lafayette

I live in Killeen Tx originally from Abbeville La. I drove down to Louisiana to attend my unc funeral whom lived with me in Texas. My pastor, my daughter, my son, and my niece all came into the hotel to help us bring in our luggage my pastor and I. Once we got our hotel key the hotel reception called to the room while the phone was ringing while im opening the door to tell us we need to pay for extra people, I advised her that they were only helping us with our bags we just got off the highway and they would be staying with our family members in Abbeville. The whole top and bottom level of the hotel smelled of paint as the hotel was being painted downstairs and recently upstairs inwhich our room was located. I asked for another room because my nose and throat began to burn from inhaling the paint I was showed 2 other rooms on the same side of where painting was being done in the hotel. I wasnt able to stay due to the paint inhalation. The manager came in I asked for a refund the manager began to yell and was really rude. The receptionist whom was the wife of the manager told us she didnt have contact with her manager yet he just happen to walk in at that very moment.[...] I do not plan to ever stay at Ambassador inn nor rent a hotel through [...]. Not only was I in mourning of losing my uncle whom took care of me since my mom passed away at the age of seven, I had also drove for seven hours from Texas to Louisiana for all this.

This motel is located conveniently off of I-10 and is close to several fast food restaurants including Wendy's, Taco Bell, Waffle House, McDonald's and Sonic. It is also just minutes away from the Cajundome and Cajunfied. The motel is modest and clean with the bare essential. There is also a decent continental breakfast offered to guests including cereal, pastries, fruit, oatmeal. Personal toiletries are very limited, so I would recommend bringing your own for backup. Overall, this motel is a great value especially for a simple overnight stay.

This was the most terrible experience i have ever had at any motel. the staff were very very rude and uncaring. the maid stepped on my laptop computer and broke the lcd screen. now it will cost me at least $200 to fix and the motel would not accept any responsibilty. They will not allow late or early check ins and are really rude about it. I would advise that no one ever stay at this motel and I plan to sue them.

Continental breakfast was to be desired and not a lot of choices. Room was old and "dirty", funiture was colored all over from a previous guest.
