Could have been better
The hotel amenities were incorrect on the website. The hotel states, hotel parking, but it does not tell you that there is a price for parking and when you check in, they do not advise you that it is a charge for parking like all other hotels do. the convenience to Bourbon street was good, but there is restaurant in lobby which serve breakfast if you want it; however, they restaurant attached is a sushi restaurant. The water line was messed up all weekend and the hotel had to give out bottle water all weekend and then they told us the water will be cut off Monday morning at 10am-5pm, this was the day we was to check out so we had to get up early to take a shower before the water was cut off. The hotel did not offer in inconvenience remedies for this when i ask them the least they could do is waive the hotel parking to due to the bad water issue. The room nice, but it looks bigger on the website.

New Orleans vacation
The hotel was located one block off Canal. Right behind the Roosevelt Hotel. Had a gym and small snack bar open in the morning. The rooms are nice; pillow top and nice linens and flat screen television. I have a feeling that Windham has recently taken over the hotel and they are still working out all the details. No complaints except the water pressure is the awful. Goes from full flow to a dribble every other minute. This at midnight every night. Explanation giving to me was they new new boilers and that they will have to no water for two days. Oh: most of the rooms ONLY have windows facing into the atrium with skylights. This takes some getting used to.

OK hotel
It was an average hotel. The room I got was pretty cozy with NO window. The AC wasn't working, when I told front desk the next day, they did give me another room with AC which was spacious. Overall OK but not great.

Business trip/French Quarter
Decent hotel at a good price. Beds were extremely comfortable; bathroom decor was great; bath towels were sub-par, it took two towels to dry off. Not reflective of the trip in general but the bathroom had a ceiling water leak in the middle of the night -- when I mentioned it to the front desk the next day, no big apology, no discount was offered for my inconvenience.

Great location
We booked this trip in September so when we arrived and were given the handicapped room I was surprised. The shower was awful and the water pressure worse. However, for the price and location it was fine.

WYNDHAM GARDEN BARRONE PLAZA HOTEL
Hotel was comfortable, clean, and located close to Franch Quarter. 1 Block north of Canal Street and 1 Block west of Bourbon Street. Hotel does not provide Bell Boy service. Had to manage luggage in and out by myself. Not a real big deal but at age 79 I would have preferred Hotel Staff assistance. Parking at Hotel added an additional $113.00 to the trip - $20.00 per night plus tax. Parking also was on space available basis in basement of Hotel - very tight parking spaces.. Luckily on last night of stay I got the last available space. Somehow on last day of stay we did not get maid service so some amenities were missing...especially coffee in morning on day of check-out. After parking costs, total cost of Hotel stay was $866.00 - a little steep. New Orleans generally a great town to visit. A little expensive but lots to do. French Market area and Riverwalk Shopping Mall really neat. At our age Bourbon Street is a little noisy. Great for the young folks.. we did find one nice spot on Bourbon Street with a great music group led by Steamboat Willy. Spent two nights there..real fun spot. With gas, food, drinks, parking, tips, and shopping trip cost around $300.00 per day for five day trip. Will do it again in the spring.

Nawlins on a dime
This was a quick weekend get away for a newly dating couple that hadn't traveled together previously. Goal was a little R & R before the Holidays so wanted a hotel that was clean, comfy, in a great location at a good price. Didn't need tons of amenities but did have to be quiet so we could decompress after hitting Bourbon Street. This property is older than I expected but clean. Only 1 person working front desk at 5:30 pm on a Friday so check-in took some time. When we got to our room were surprised to see that it was VERY small with the king-sized taking up most of the space. Tiny closet and only 2 drawers in the room. This was a bit of problem because we both like to unpack instead of living from a suitcase. Impossible in this room. Bed was comfy and bath was nice sized but really not room to do much else in the room. After hitting the town we returned to get some sleep only to be awaken around 1:30 am by the college kids next door and across the hall. Because the walls were very thin, we could hear them partying until about 3:00 am. I love Nawlins and plan to return but won't select this property again. Will pick something on Canal Street with larger rooms.

Don't be afraid to explore the restaurants in the French Quarter. No need to stay on Bourbon Street. We found 3 just off the main drag that we loved. Wear comfy shoes and take a walk to explore during the day. It pays off when it's time to sit down for a meal.

Decent Place to stay for the price
Hotel is just 1 Block from Bourbon Street so it was close to everything we wanted to do. Hotel does not offer a Free Breakfast, Bar or any other service that most hotels have. They have a place in the morning that open up and sell you coffee, bagels, etc but nothing else. Vending machines were out of water, had to walk to local liquor store for any items needed. Hotel staff was courteous and friendly. For the location it was great for any "extras" that most hotels have it was below par.

The getaway
If you are looking for a comfortable place to rest your head at the end of a long day or night of sightseeing/partying this place will do. Nothing out of this world but very clean and modern. If u want a view this is not the place. The only view is the one straight down to the lobby (stayed on the 5th floor). Front desk was efficient. If you have a car check-in could be a multiple step process.
