An indispensable part of the rich Wyndham Hotels & Resorts brand, the Wyndham Garden Baronne Plaza Hotel in New Orleans houses a streamlined central atrium space, a nice contrast to the Art Deco-inspired granite façade. Get your morning off to a snappy start in the hotel café, with sweet croissants, fruit and a Starbucks coffee to fuel your day. During the evenings, the City Diner offers a packed menu, and fitness fanatics can burn off the calories with a weightlifting session inside the modern workout center. Built in 1931, the hotel offers history with a modern feel, and all suites come with a whirlpool bathtub.

Great Stay in NOLA

The hotel location was great - walking distance to French Quarter, Riverwalk, Trolly, shopping. While the hotel staff was very friendly, we did have some issues with housekeeping staff. Our room was not cleaned for two days. Once front desk was notified, they reponded immediately. The room was nice and the beds were comfortable. Overall, we had a great experience.

Go to Ritas on Bourbon Street on Tuesday for $2 Margaritas, tacos, nachos. A fun place, great staff, happy hour prices from 4:00 - 9:00.

New Orleans vacation

The hotel was located one block off Canal. Right behind the Roosevelt Hotel. Had a gym and small snack bar open in the morning. The rooms are nice; pillow top and nice linens and flat screen television. I have a feeling that Windham has recently taken over the hotel and they are still working out all the details. No complaints except the water pressure is the awful. Goes from full flow to a dribble every other minute. This at midnight every night. Explanation giving to me was they new new boilers and that they will have to no water for two days. Oh: most of the rooms ONLY have windows facing into the atrium with skylights. This takes some getting used to.

Stay at Barronne Plaza Wyndham

Hotel is very conveniant to French Quarter, staff was friendly, room is clean but very small. Parking rate was ridiculous($20 a night)Hotel is just far enough away to be in quiet area, we were able to walk to everthing or catch the streetcar easily. If you are going to move around the city alot on a given day, buy the all day streetcar pass for $5.00(you must have exact change)

Felix's restaraunt across the street from the Acme Oyster House off of Bourbin Street has better food and prices and not nearly the lines.

Great Hotel!

The location is fantastic - 1 block from canal, 1 block from Bourbon, a few blocks from the Superdome. The hotel staff was excellent, parking was onsite and great for small vehicles. The room was well kept, clean, modern furnishings, and excellent bedding. The fitness center was OK - we got our workout walking through the French Quarter. My husband and I really enjoyed celebrating our anniversary at this hotel and will definitely stay here again.

There is a Japanese restaurant/Sushi bar and coffee house onsite, but we enjoyed experiencing restaurants in the area which ranged from high-end to low-budget.
