An indispensable part of the rich Wyndham Hotels & Resorts brand, the Wyndham Garden Baronne Plaza Hotel in New Orleans houses a streamlined central atrium space, a nice contrast to the Art Deco-inspired granite façade. Get your morning off to a snappy start in the hotel café, with sweet croissants, fruit and a Starbucks coffee to fuel your day. During the evenings, the City Diner offers a packed menu, and fitness fanatics can burn off the calories with a weightlifting session inside the modern workout center. Built in 1931, the hotel offers history with a modern feel, and all suites come with a whirlpool bathtub.

Will stay here again

This was my second stay here, first driving. Self-parked in the below-ground garage for $20/day vs. $38 (plus tips) for valet. Room was spotless, bedding so comfortable that I wanted to take it all home. Desk staff friendly and helpful. Location is perfect - can walk to anyplace. The WWII Museum is fantastic! Plan to spend most of the say, if you like to read and take it all in. It's amazing.

Perfect!

I stayed there for my Bachelorette party, and it was awesome. It exceeded my expectations. I will recommend parking in a public parking garage instead of the hotel parking, because it's the same price and it's not super cramped.

Bourbon Blues

A very servicable hotel for sleeping and location but totally lacking in character. No restaurant or bar. Have to leave it even to get a cup of coffee or a bottle of water. Many more small boutique hotels =- a bit more but worth it for character, especially if you are there to holiday.

reasonable

the room was very well priced. the hotel was well kept and had nice modern amenities (flat screen tv, single service coffee machine, comfortable bed). the hotel is nonsmoking to begin with but another guest definitely was smoking. most of the staff was helpful, but the night clerk declined to help me with a request (a spoon). overall a reasonable place.

This place was a great stay

Getting to the hotel was easy, just off of canal street. Easy to get to and from I-10. This hotel is 1 block off of canal and two blocks from bourbon street, but you don't hear any noise from the party crowd. The room itself was great, clean everyday. I think that would be my only negative about the hotel. The Do not Disturb sign, does not include the hotel cleaning staff. The front desk people were great, very nice, helpful, and willing to point you in the right direction for good fun and food. I would stay at this hotel anytime I come to NOLA. Thank you Bill

Baronne Plaza Hotel

I stayed here for my brother's graduation from Tulane. It was a great location close to the superdome for graduation and a block from Bourbon St. It was a great location but I just wished they had listed the limited garage ability online. Trucks are too tall to fit. I had to park a few blocks away and the day we were to check out the streets were flooding from a hard rain and we had to wait so we could get to the vehicle. Bed was very comfortable and all rooms had windows facing lobby so the street noise was not heard. Overall I would stay again if the parking wasn't an issue.

excellent place to stay

The location is great. It is close to Bourbon and Canal street but it isn't in the noisy area. The streets around the hotel are very quiet. The rooms are very clean. The hotel staff is friendly and helpful. The breakfast is very cheap. I didn't have any problems during my 4-day stay. I didn't hear any noises from other rooms. So I highly recommend this hotel.

great when on a budget

I was pleasantly surprised. The hotel was close enough to Bourbon and Canal, but far enough to where it was queit. The room was perfect for the few days we were there! The ONLY complaint I have was the tourist advice the front desk gave.
