Art Deco standout provides comfort, convenience for business travelers
The Wyndham Baronne Plaza is situated in the Historic Lower Central Business District. The Art Deco beauty still has its original granite and stone façade and the gleaming marble floors in the lobby. The rooms are spacious. The hospitality is gracious. The location -- one block from Canal Street and the French Quarter -- is convenient to most New Orleans attractions.

It Was Good
The room was very nice but the window faced into the common area. There was no outside window. Internet connection did not work but I did not follow up to troubleshoot since I was on vacation. Great location - 2 blocks from French Qtr and a very easy walk. Good value. Staff was very friendly and accommodating.

nice setting; rude staff
Hotel within walking distance of Bourbon Street and shopping. Quiet and clean. Poor customer service at check-in did not get stay off to a good start.

Baronne is an excellent value
Very large clean room. Staff was great. Art Deco look was great. Breakfast at a reasonable price was an added benefit with my stay. Location was next door to the New Orleans Waldorf Astoria(sp). The only problem was it was somewhat difficult to get hot water on the 5th floor at 6 am - Solution: let the hot water run for a few minutes.

Great location for the price
I went to New Orleans for pleasure and needed somewhere to stay for a short time to get a few hours of rest and to store my luggage. While in New Orleans I went to Harrah's casino and walked the strip on Bourbon Street. Brothers Chicken was located on the corner near the hotel. Their chicken was very good. It is also a convenience store and they are opened 24/7. I do plan on going to New Orleans again and the Baronne Plaza Hotel is where I will seek lodging. I also plan on getting some more chicken at Brothers Chicken.

Very Good!
Very friendly staff, very helpful. Very nice and clean rooms. Super Comfy beds and pillows. Great location, close to everything. Would definitely stay there again.

I am a Graduate Student who spent 4 days exploring New Orleans during Spring Break. My needs are rather minimal, i.e. a comfy bed in a convenient location with helpful staff is more than enough for me.

Better than expected
The hotel is in a FANTASTIC location. Walking distance from pretty much everything with restaurants and drug stores just around the corner. The rooms are nice and clean with very comfortable beds. The fitness room is a little out of date with old machines that take a while to figure out how to work. There is a breakfast available for purchase ($8.99), but I didn't buy it as their breakfast is nothing special and looks like what most hotels offer for free. Secure parking is also available for about $22 a day.
