Art Deco standout provides comfort, convenience for business travelers

The Wyndham Baronne Plaza is situated in the Historic Lower Central Business District. The Art Deco beauty still has its original granite and stone façade and the gleaming marble floors in the lobby. The rooms are spacious. The hospitality is gracious. The location -- one block from Canal Street and the French Quarter -- is convenient to most New Orleans attractions.

Great for out-of-towners

My wife and I had no idea what to expect when traveling to New Orleans and the hotel staff was great. They were very accomodating on getting us directions as to how to get around and the rooms were very clean and very comfortable. The in room coffee was excellent as well.

close to Quarter and in downtown

Room 201 was noisy, right between the elevators and the exercise room. Lighting was marginal. For the average cost of $240 per night not a very good value.

Great Location and Friendly Staff

We attended the 29th French Quarter Festival while staying here. The rooms were clean, well stocked and only a couple of blocks away from Boubon Street. Even though there was a Fraternity that checked in the 2nd day of our stay, we were not disturbed by them as the rooms were very quiet. Everyone from the front doormen, to the front desk staff, to the housekeeping folks....we had personable conversations with them all.

Don't forget about the History of New Orleans. Be sure to visit the near by museums either located in the Quarter or a quaint trolley ride via the Canal route to see a number of wonderful New Orleans museums.

Great for a Quick Stay

Stayed for a night and it had everything I needed. Right off of Canal Street and not far from Bourbon Street either. Just minutes away from shopping and the Riverfront where Harrah's is located. Staff was friendly and helpful in booking me a cab before my flight. I would definitely stay again. If you're just looking a for a place to shower, relax, and sleep...this is a great spot. I would go elsewhere if you want to wine and dine on hotel premises since they lack a few amenities. But who goes to New Orleans for anything but Bourbon St.? ;)

Lovely Art Deco

I really did enjoy my stay and will go back again! The staff is amazing and personable and humorous. The hot water was a little odd, but once I learned the trick, it was fine. The location is really good in downtown New Orleans. The art deco look of the hotel makes it seem especially flavored with New Orleans.

Mardi Gras Escape

We had a nice time at this hotel, granted, we only slept there. We were "out and about" the majority of our stay. Our room was clean, spacious and accomodating. I do give "kudos" to the desk staff that we dealt with. They were very friendly and helpful; above and beyond!! One complaint was with the parking valet service - very, very slow and it seemed somewhat disorginazed.

Great location!

Staff was very helpful, and made me feel welcome every time I entered the hotel. The location was a few short blocks from the French Quarter, but was comfortable and quiet.

Take a cab back to the airport if you have two people rather than the shuttle. It is a better, less stressful ride.

Excellent service

The Wyndham garden was an excellent hotel. It was only two blocks from the French quarter. When we arrived, we didn't expect to get a room until check in at three. When we got there at 11:30 in the morning they were able to give us a room right away. The staff was able to tell us all the great places to eat. They were very helpful and friendly. I would definitely stay here again.

Great stay for a business trip

The staff was friendly and helpful and the accommodations were clean, spacious and comfortable. The location is one block from Canal Street and in close proximity to the French Quarter. The only thing that would have made it better would have been a small refrigerator in the room.
