Simply elegant
Cobalt Aug 1, 2009
The hotel is elegance exemplified, from the exquisite decor to the personal service. Late night room service was quick. They ... have just introduced a scrumptious lunch buffet in the Salon and continue to serve a marvelous three course Afternoon Tea there also (Thurs-Sunday) which is not to be missed. I will not confess how much time I spent gambing, but it was amazingly convenient for me (a woman travelling alone) to pop back and forth between the hotel and Harrah's casino right next door at all hours of the day and night. The large saltwater pool (located outside of the fourth floor) is absolutely marvelous.

elegant and romantic
Ann Jul 22, 2009
My husband and I wanted a getaway weekend to New Orleans. This hotel is only a few blocks away from the historic French ... Quarter, yet far enough away you don't hear the all night partying that can go on. It has a romantic old English charm. It is on the somewhat pricey side ($6 for a glass of o.j. at their restaurant), but the service and the charm just about make up for that. Would be a beautiful setting for weddings, etc.

Fell in love with New Orleans Mar 7, 2009
This was the only room we could find in New Orleans on Valentines Day weekend. We have never stayed in such a nice place. ... The staff and services were amazing. The room was absolutely wonderful. We got a free room upgrade. The location could not have been better. It was easy to find and close to everything, plus had a great view. We stayed here as a couple but, would be a good place for a family to stay. We will definatly stay here again.
