the valet took almost 3 hrs to get my car because they couldnt find the keys the first time and another hour and half the second time. the shower didnt work properly and the sink wouldnt drain took a day and half to get it fixed. they didnt allow coolers in the hotel so the food i had brought for a carnival ball all went bad because the only size fridge they had to give was a small cube that was maybe 2 foot by 2 foot. there were no towels when getting into the room then had to keep asking for large towels every day.

Expensive for what?
This hotel was on the parade route which was good, but the hotel staff at the desk did not want to bother with trying to help us get to the place. Then you had to drive the wrong way down a one way street to get to the front of the hotel and pay $28 to get the vehicle parked, because they did not have a parking lot. We then had to wear wrist bans that if we lost would have to pay $50 to get them replaced. I was suppose to have a king sized bed and it was only a queen. The bathroom floor was wet, and we found trash all over the room. I will never stay at the establishment again

WHITNEY AT NEW ORLEANS
The room was too small, nice bath, old tv,bath towels too hard to use. The over charge for parking $ 38.oo a day without telling us in advance, we spend more than $ 430 for an old hotel, we could stay in a better place for the same price. I do not recomend it.

Lover of New Orleans
Stay somewhere else
I have been to New Orleans many times and always enjoy the city. But not the hotel this time. There was a funny smell in the hotel, the desk clerks were rude , all of them. When we arrived we waited a few minutes to be checked in while the clerk talked on the phone about the easter bunny and some new clothing she had to pick up. They charge a fee to your room for the newspaper , but dont tell you! The temperature control in the room fell off the wall when we tried to turn it on, there is not business center for computer use or to print tickets or maps and they cant print for you at the desk. Upon checkout I was asked to hold on with an attitude while yet another clerk finished her conversation on the phone. the bed and very small room were nice but thats all I can say was ok.

When called ahead to arrange some accomodations for my fiance's birthday (cake, flowers, delivered to the room) was told there was no room service and was given the telephone for local florist and the restuarant didnt do anything for birthdays. Day one there was no hot water. The building engineer came quickly and left and returned again and had to adjust the hot water knob. Hot water in abundance. The negatives were: the room was small and the television had few channels and remote didnt work. The bathtub could have been cleaner. Lastly, couldnt see outside the window to know if it was raining or not. The positives: walking distance to the French Quarter. The place was very quiet even though was told the all rooms were fully booked. Stayed at better hotels for less, but I guess location is everything.

It is an OK hotel
This hotel charges a fee on almost everything (eg. local calls, internet, parking etc.). You can just park your car accross the street for a much lower rate. The building looks very old, and the room is very small. I can hear noise from street at night.

Not worth a hundred plus bucks a night
Ther girls at ther lobby desk were friendly and accomadating however wer booked a room for a guarantee king bed non smoking room and instead got a room with two full size bedsnt that had sheets with holes in them. There was duct tape on the windows and the room smelled of smoke. The yin wouldn't drain when taking a shower and the t.v. was ancient. Very dissatisfied.

Disgusting Rooms
Day1 floors filthy, I asked them to clean, they said sure, nothing happened. Day 2 I asked again since there was food (i.e. oysters, bread crumbs, and chicken crumbs) all over the floor, they said sure. Nothing happened. On day 3, I walked down to the front desk and asked to have the floors cleaned asap; the manager made a call and assured me that when I got back the floors would be clean. Day four, the floors were still dirty. The manager looked confused. She apologized and gave me free lunch vouchers, but i came to New Orleans to eat authentic food, not dirty hotel food. Was there for 4 days and they didnt clean the floors once. I walked around with shoes or socks the whole time. i suggest you do the same.

Offered room service but there was no memu in the room and front desk could not provide one. Walls of room appeared to have water damage under windows also rotten wood on window seals. Were there for our 40th anniversity and had a good time in NO.
