Attractive historic hotel offering traditional Southern hospitality
The Wyndham Whitney Hotel rests within a building that once served as a bank, located in the business district of New Orleans. Elegant historic interiors give the hotel a calm and graceful air. Marble columns and fine tiled floors in the public areas of the hotel speak of a grand past. The Wyndham Whitney Hotel accommodations offer guests a slice of New Orleans history, while business travelers are close to Morial Convention Center. Great Hotel
The room was clean, well lit and views out the window were great. The location was close to convention centre and also walking distance to French Quarter and many restaurants.

Nice
It was nice, but nothing exceptional. A little dated and lacked ammenities like a bell hop. No one to greet us when we arrived, no one to help with bags to the room. Nie but didn't make us feel pampered.

Good Deal
The hotel is nice! Beautiful comfortable but cheap. Not very far away from french quarter. However, there's no refrigerator in the room, also no free wifi. Everything is perfect other than that...

Young Adult Experienced Traveler
The Flexible Choice!
The location is the jewel of this hotel. Settled in a historic remodeled bank, this hotel provides thier guest with security and just enough distance from the tourist crowds. My father and I walked everywhere. to the French Quarters it's a 5 minute walk, the river walk is 10 minutes and the street car ( St. Charles) is on the corner. I reccommend taking the street car to the Garden district. It's only a five minute street car ride and allows you to see the mansions of that area. Go during the day because it's mostly residential. We rented a car and only used it when we went to visit our family across the river. We didn't use the parking the hotel provided because it was an additional $21 a day, but opted to park on the street. We were lucky enough to find faulty meters that allowed us to park all day, but there was a lot across the street that offered $15 a day had we not been so lucky. We just had to take note of the street cleaning signs however all the meters were free from 6pm- 9am everyday. The hotel was very clean and had a safe feeling. The staff were very pleasent and helpful. Since we were in a new place, most of our time was spent outside of the room. We had two full size beds a desk and a rest room in our room, which is all we needed. I would choose this hotel again because of it's value and location!

Mother's resturant is one block away down Poydras, along with many cafes. I reccomend trying some of the smaller cafes as well. I found it to be good food without the tourist hype many of the larger resturant had.

Great Place
This is a very nice Hotel in a great location. It was clean and the staff is very nice. I reccomend staying here and will choose this location on our next visit to New Orleans.
