Friendly staff, good location, NO breakfast
About a 10 minute walk to Canal Street and the border of the French Quarter, it's in the business district but not too close to the drunken tourists. Not many restaurants near unless you go to the FQ. Staff was friendly and accomodating (I requested a fridge at booking and was given one, and they took phone messages). There wasn't much light in the room, as the curtains didn't open fully. And suprisingly, breakfast is NOT included - you can pay to eat at the restaurant downstairs. For such a hotel and the cost, I would have expected a complimentary breakfast.

Visiting hometown
Nice hotel, great location
Great price for downtown hotel, location not too shabby either. The price for valet is not worth it, $40 for SUV. In addition, the night valet staff is there to okay not work. It took an hour to get our vehicle pulled up because the valet guy was out driving around town with his buddy. He showed up in work uniform, in his own car with a friend and then proceeded to park another car before driving around ours. To make matters worse, before we could pull out the driveway, the valet guy pulled out with his impala to have some fun with his buddy in the car.

Last minute trip to new Orleans
at check in hotel clerk gave us 2 restaurants she recommended one for the seafood the other for the ambiance. The patio dining at oceanas was great. Food was good and easy walk to hotel. Will be staying at this hotel in the future as it is close to French Quarter but not so noisy. 2 blocks to good dining choices.

The staff were welcoming and helpful and friendly. The room was comfortable, quiet and clean. The location was perfect to go to the garden district on the St. Charles streetcar, or walk to the French quarter or the Riverfront and the price was more than reasonable. My husband left his razor plug in the room. We called and told them. They found it and mailed it back to us that day. We will definitely stay there on our next trip to New Orleans.

1st 3 nights in New Orleans
This Hotel has a lot of character and history which is why I choose it. The rooms were a bit small and squishy. But always clean. I loved the Bath and Body works toiletries. The room itself was very quiet and the staff very helpful. The location is a few blocks up from the action so we were always walking down into town, but it was quiet at night.

Great room
We had our grandson with us and having a room with a doorway for the second bedroom was great. He was able to rest on his own and we could do our thing in the other room. The decor was neat having decorated around an old bank. That made it very unique.
