Overview

Three historic coffee warehouses were combined and repurposed to create this unique Arts District hotel. Modern appointments join original hardwood floors, beamed ceilings and recycled wrought iron for a completely contemporary feel. The National Park Service has certified the restoration, and the result is a one-of-a-kind hotel in a great location.  The hotel has easy access the convention center, French Quarter or cruise terminal.  Riverwalk and its paddleboat rides are at the doorstep.

Rooms

The Old No. 77 Hotel & Chandlery has been recognized for its re-use of materials. The old-made-new element is apparent in its 175 guest rooms with kings, doubles or queens. In the rooms, wrought iron four-poster beds welcome each guest.  Gleaming hardwood floors, exposed brick walls and high timber ceilings lend an open feeling. All rooms feature ceiling fans, oversized executive desks, irons and ironing boards, coffee makers, safes and high-speed Internet access (covered in resort fee).

Property features

The Arts District location is convenient for tourists and business travelers alike.  Downtown New Orleans, The French Quarter, Central Business District, Riverwalk, museums and convention center are an easy walk away.  The developers took great pains to retain the original look of the former coffee warehouses. Visitors can soak up the historic feel while enjoying modern conveniences. Saints fans can walk to the Superdome. Valet parking is available (fees apply).

could be better

Would recommend Fri, Nov 6, 2015
The hotel is very nice looking. The queen size bed was more like a full size. On the day we were leaving it was raining the valet brought our car to us then let us load it ourselves no umbrella nothing. No coffee pot or fridge in the room, if you travel with any meds that need to be cold this is a problem.

Beautiful place.

We both loved the hotel. It was close to so many things, not just the French Quarter. It was beautiful inside and out. The staff was great and very helpful in every way including helping us set up a cab for our departure. It was great!

location was great, but hotel was just OK. Room dark-very poor lighting. The sole window faced a wall. Minimal amenities.

Loudest hotel I've ever stayed in

Would not recommend Wed, Jul 22, 2015
The staff yell at each other and slam doors 24/7 and I think they were doing construction in the floor above at midnight. Had to call multiple times to get them to stop so I can finally get some sleep. Decemt location and nice looking rooms though. Wouldn't reccommend for anyone that's not a deep sleeper

Everything was superb!

Would recommend Tue, Jun 30, 2015
Finding the hotel was a breeze and the location was central to everything you want to be near in New Orleans without be too close to the 24/7 noise! The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. The hotel itself is super hip, clean, and just well - COOL!! Our room was very comfortable and homey in the most positive way possible. We really enjoyed everything about the hotel and will definitely staff here again.

Great Location

Would recommend Tue, Jun 23, 2015
I was impressed with the look, feel, and overall aviance of the hotel. Best of all it is centrally located in New Orleans and you'll be able to walk to all the hot spots, such as the casino, fulton street, french quarters, etc. Great price and staff. The only drawback if there's one is the additional price for parking. If your going to play at the casino I recommend parking there and save on the daily cost of parking.

Over priced stay!

Would not recommend Mon, Apr 6, 2015
The complimentary breakfast was in the hallway next to a construction area, the halls were dark and creepy, and the service did not make up for short comings.
