A great Jazzfest location!

This was my first trip to New Orleans and the big music festival, Jazzfest. The hotel location was terrific for access to the French Quarter (a short walk across Canal St) and transportation to the festival or anywhere else for that matter. The streetcars are wonderful and very close to the hotel. The room itself was great and the maid service was good. Certainly not a 5 star hotel but the price was great and the location could not have been better. All in all a great deal!

Comfortable stay

I was a bit apprehensive when I read a lot of reviews for this hotel but for the price, how bad could it be? I was pleasantly surprised by the staff's helpfulness when our toilet became clogged as well as when we needed to catch a taxi back to the airport. The continental breakfast was the usual fair (cereal, eggs, bagels, waffles with waffle maker) and included in the price of the stay. The maid service was the average you get pretty much anywhere. We received fresh towels every day and our beds were made up. Beds were pretty comfortable. The hotel is located 2 blocks from Bourbon St and is quiet at night. On a side note, my friend and I travel a bit and when we do, we don't stay much in our hotel. We only stay to sleep and shower. If you are looking for a hotel that will cater to more than your basics, you may want to consider paying a bit more for these luxuries. Overall, we were very happy with our stay and would come back.

Weekend Stay

Hotel was ok. Staff seemed a bit stressed as they were busy when we checked in. No offer to help with luggage when we came in. The room cleanliness left a little to be desired. The toilet could have used another cleaning and the room would not cool down! We set it as low as it would go and it was still pretty warm. Also, we would have been very uncomfortable if it had been cold out as there were no blankets. Parking is outrageous expensive so we had to park about 4 blocks away. It is a good location for what we were going for, but do not think I will ever stay here again.

Getaway Weekend

The staff was awesome! I was in a hurry checking in and they were ready to respond right away! The room was perfect although a bit cold and there was no comforter. Besides that, everything was great and I really enjoyed my stay!! I would definitely go back!!

Last night in New Orleans

First the staff could not find my reservation. Then they did not listen to me when I said I needed valet parking. Staff seemed as they did not know what was going on. There were not comforters in the room and half sized pillows. When I asked for a final receipt they said I could not have one because I booked through a third party. Would not reccomend this hotel to anyone.

Not bad for being Mardi Gras

This hotel is probably not as good as most, but for it being Mardi Gras, it was not too bad. The rate was the least expensive out of the hotels looked at, and it's location was excellent to everything around.
