Near French Quarter

Just across Canal Street from the French Quarter, the Sheraton is a short walk to all the shops and restaurants. While hanging space is adeqate, more than 2 drawers would be nice in a king sized room. The bathroom is quite large with a huge vanity. Elevators are very fast although when descending from the upper floors, my ears popped almost as if I were on an airplane.

Lots of restaurants and bars a short walk away in the French Quarter. Don't forget Cafe du Monde and their wonderful beignets for breakfast.

Great Business amenities

I had to rewrite and recopy a few pages in a very important presenation document. I used the business center. The two women in that center were very knowledgeable about the services I needed, assisted me in the copy and rebinding of the presentation and were cheerful doing it. Their help realy made the difference in my business meeting and my trip! Thank you Sheraton! p.s. they were even able to print some business cards for me!

Great Location but that's all

If this is a Sheraton I'll eat my hat. Upon check in keys didn't work waited thirty five minutes for maintenance and had to have new keys cut three times **Room- adequate in size and EXTREMELY comfortable beds. However, A/C had two settings either too warm or downright freezing. **Room Service-Ordered coffee for 9 AM delivery all three days we were there it never came **Pool- Is a slab of cement with about 10 lounges. No towels, no vending machines, etc **Fitness Center- $10 charge for a few machines..don't bother. **Charged for Parking ($30 a nite) for each night we were there..we didn't have a car!!! **Concierge-needed maps Concierge was NEVER at desk only a sign saying they would be back later. No maps provided and none provided in the room. Ended up buying one at the convience store across the street. **We paid additional to stay on the Club Level. Great view, Club room served stale breakfast items and charged horrific prices for small drinks. **Check Out-Couldn't do express check out because of the charges on my bill that weren't mine. Spent almost an hour checking out but they did remove the charges after some arguing. *****The good news is if your looking for a hotel with a great location this is it..within walking distance to the French Quarter, Cafe DuMonde, Jackson Square and great shopping. Just don't expect much in the way of service or amenities.*******

Nice location for work or vacation

I went down for business and stayed the weekend at the Sheraton. It seems to be one of the tallest buildings in the city, which makes for great veiws. The room was comfortable, but the bathroom could use some improvements - old fixtures, a running toilet. We were upgraded to club level which was very nice. Snacks were available in mornings and evenings for no extra charge, except a gratuity. Unless you're a club level member, they charge you to use the fitness facility. The location is great for access to Bourbon St. or many other New Orleans attractions. I was satisfied.

very people friendly

This was a very enjoyable experience. The. staff was excellent from the moment I checked in. The hotel was clean, the food was good and reasonably priced. I consider this good for a business meeting or for a family holiday, or for a meal with friends. The rooms were quite spacious and comfortable. There were several shops closeby inclusive of pharmacies,Shopping Mall etc. I left my cellphone charger at home and when I told this to room service I received one within 10 minutes and the lady called me back to make sure that I had received it. Iforgot to mention that on chechkin the staff member enquired as to if I wanted to join the hotel points program. So for me this was a most enjoyable experience and I have already began to recommend it to my family and friends.
