A great hotel at a great value!

I was here the weekend before Christmas for the Cosmic Convergence Festival, and there was also a bowl game at the Superdome that Saturday. So the hotel was completely booked. But the staff kept everything running smoothly. The hotel is located right on Canal on the Western edge of the French Quarter, so you're close to the Quarter, the river and the Warehouse district. Perfect location!

The French Quarter isn't the only place with good food. Walk West into the Warehouse District and find places like Cochon or the Cochon Butcher. The food is unbelievable!

All good but the parking.

The room rate, location and hotel itself was wonderful and at a great value. This hotel is clean, comfortable and modern, while being located at the Western edge of the French Quarter in the center of some of the greatest bars and restaurants in all of New Orleans. The staff was very helpful, as well. My only real complaint was the unbelievable charge of $42.50 per night to park in the parking lot of the hotel WHILE I WAS STAYING THERE. That completely negated the value of the room rate. I have no idea why a four-star hotel would do that while 2-star hotels are happy to let you park at their places for free. Were it not for that, I wouldn't have had a single negative thing to say about my stay here.

Make sure to eat at Green Goddess on Exchange Place, just down from the corner of Royal and Bienville. It is truly some of the best food offered in the French Quarter.

Wonderful Travel Experience

Even though the hotel was under renovation, there were no problems moving from one place to another, I was really impressed with the new elevator system. All the staff were friendly and helpful. We had one problem with the plumbing and it was rectified immediately.

Excellent Location

Great place to stay. Friendly staff, nice rooms, and excellent location to access the French Quarter, resturants, and about everything else. On busy Canal Street, which made us feel safer at night. Going through some renovations but did not hear any noise where we stayed. Excellent fitness center and availiable pool. We hope to stay here again on our next visit!

Weekend getaway

Overall the service was very good; although we did not spend much time in the hotel or interacting with the staff. My husband does require some handicap assistance and we were given an accommodating room; and the concierge was helpful in finding resources to rent a wheelchair, which was of tremendous help!

Great location

This hotel is located within walking distance of many places you need to visit, if you are coming to New Orleans as a first time tourist. Our room was not exceptional, but it was clean and comfortable. The staff was not overly friendly, but not rude either.

Great place and location

nice clean hotel, amenities good, food/bar good, wish the pool was open - not sure why, that was one of the reasons we picked this hotel was for the pool. A reason of the door lock does not work is silly. I really wanted to lay out at the pool to relax besides seeing the parades. Even if it was temporarityt, we should have know aboutg it.
