one glitch after another
waited for over an hour at checkin because systems were down. Ice machine didn't work on our floor. Starbucks only open occasionally in lobby. Lukewarm water in shower last morning. Not a 4 star experience by any means.

Some hickups, but a fantastic place to stay
One of the rooms had the bathroom being remodeled and had sitting water in bathtub. However the hotel staff was more than accomadating and gave us a new room with a $50 credit. Also the parking for one day was $42. So if you can find somewhere else to park i would. Overall we were very happy with Hotel and rooms had a beautiful view of New Orleans.

Booking agent Fail
I booked through "Obtz", secured rooms on the upper level of the hotel, and when I showed up I was given a room on the lower level, because the hotel had blocked off all of the upper level rooms and I wasn't notified until I checked in. The hotel was undergoing a lot of repair & maintenance, so there was much noise around our room during the morning or late afternoon. The staff was amazing and did everything they could to accommodate me, and the situation, unfortunately it wasn't until my last night in the hotel did they open the upper levels and called me to offer an upper level room. "Obtz" has certainly raised some concerns with me about the service they offer after this trip.

Short walk from hotel
Most everything to see and do in New Orleans is within a short walking distance from this hotel. Call the hotel and book through them instead of "Obtz" to ensure you get an honest answer and know what you are walking into.

We love staying at the Sheraton when we visit New Orleans. The location is perfect and the views are incredible. Our only complaint would be the check-in process which is entirely too slow. The lines moved slowly, no one was at the Starwood Guest desk and the other personnel behind the desk kept leaving the desk while people were waiting.

Renovation!!!
ok...most hotels in New Orleans are being renovated for the SuperBowl that is happening shortly. But, a citywide water shortage caused some stress on the day that we were to leave. The bar staff is excellent and met some really cool people but when we came back from the game to get a drink at 11pm...they were closing! The elevator situation is confusing. I stayed at this hotel 8 years ago and it has gone through some changes...I know I will give it another chance though....the location is great...steps from the French Qtr. and walking distance to the Superdome.

K-Pauls had the most delicious fall sample with roasted pumpkins seeds and goat cheese. And Sobou is an excellent restuarant with blackened redfish and yellowfin tuna with mirlitons. Get the cherries jubilee and share it if you must! These are both on St. Charles

Great location!
The hotel was perfectly situated for our food and shopping weekend. Easy walking distance to everything in the French Quarter, and close to the streetcar and bus stops for other activities. The Front Desk staff was wonderfully helpful with transportation and restaurant suggestions, and directions. One star off because the cleaning staff on the floors were unbelievably loud; this occurred from 10 am to as late as 7pm. Do Not Disturb signs didn't prevent them from allowing every room door to slam shut against the propped-open lock-latch over and over again. Perhaps they need to be supplied with rubber door-stops to prevent this awful noise.

Sign up for a Walking Tour with a local company; we toured restaurants in the French Quarter and had tastings at each location.

Enjoyable stay
We stayed three nights and the bed was incredibly comfortable. The gym was fantastic. The pool was a bit small and could use a face lift but we enjoyed it. The parking arrangement was very easy and the fancy high speed elevators were great - we were on the 39th floor and had a great view of the city. The soda machine on our floor was broken. Overall it was a very nice stay and we would stay there again.

Not a 4star hotel
This hotel is undergoing some renovation, but at present is showing its age.I was inline to check in for over 30 minutes. When I finally got to my room and got the a/c going, it was clear this room had not been updated in a while. I requested a wheelchair accessible room, and there was barely enough room to maneuver comfortably. The bathroom had a tub instead of a roll in shower, and it took 16 hours to get a shower bench up to my room. The coffee service was a total joke, but the real kicker was no hot water for a shower. I was told by maintenance that since I was on the 24th floor, the hot water takes a while to reach that high up. So spend a little more and get a decent room at another hotel.
