Great location.

I was offered with a newly renovated room on the 39th floor. It cannot get any better than this. Coming from New York, wasn't expecting as much, but I was very pleased with every aspects.

Not real clean, undergoing renovations, great staff

*dirty towel from prior guest was left hanging on bathroom door *the bathtub faucet dripped continuously *room service: my glass of ice water had globs of mustard on the outside of it - nothing on my tray contained mustard *My dinner tray that I put outside my door around 8:30 pm was still there at 7am the following morning *the hotel was undergoing rennovations - was not told this when I made the reservations. there was a jackhammer going beneath my room from at least 7pm to 9:30 pm that evening.

Sheraton Canal Street New Orleans La

The overall space, etc. was good. We were there during Mardi Gras (on business) so there were special considerations. The hotel is older, needs some updating, and the rooms are noisy! You can hear people in the hallways, and rooms next door. You also can hear your neighbors taking showers, flushing toilets, and running water. The location is great if you don't mind city noise. We would not stay in this Sheraton again due to the noise!

If you go during Mardi Gras, keep in mind that many restaurants close on Monday and Tuesday for the end of Mardi Gras.

Great Location

The hotel was just ok but the location was perfect. Its within walking distance to the French Quarter and Bourbon Street but not so close that you can't sleep at night.

Entertainment tip: Short walk from hotel

Just a short walk from the hotel is the New Orleans School of Cooking that offers inexpensive cooking classes. The classes are a fun way to learn how to make local dishes and learn about the history.

Nice Place

The room was spacious and comfortable. Nice bed and pillow options. The lounging chair and the desk chair were both leather and comfortable. The fawcett on the shower was dripping the entire stay. Internet was expensive. The breakfast buffet was very nice with smoked salmon and lots of fresh fruit but a little pricey. I used the "Green" conservation vouchers to offset the cost. The lobby was nice and staff was helpful. Very large projection TV in the lobby to watch the games.

Dining tip: In Hotel

Dinning at the hotel was expensive; therefore, we had breakfast at the Daisy Dukes just half block from there, lunch and dinner at a small restaurant behind the hotel. The food was good and economical at both places. We went to Arby's across the street, but the place was dirty and the bathrooms were filthy.

Convention Fun

The hotel was booked as a package along with airfare. The hotel was in the perfect location, reasonably close to the convention center & close to the French Quarter. There were preat places to eat within walking distance. On my day off, I took in a museum- and I had plenty to choose from. Couldn't have planned it better.

like a summer breeze

The location is perfect with a lot of helpful staff. Pleasant, easy-going, and kind. We enjoyed our stay. The green choice the hotel has gave us a choice not to have room service everyday. We like the idea of making a place more like home than a hotel. After we set it up, it is for us to keep it clean and the staff will give things we need if we ask and just leave us alone.[...]

When we asked for a local lunch place: two recommendations were given by the bell service staff. He gave direction to one vegetarian and one local famous place called Mothers and we went to Mothers according to his direction and really enjoy the food of the BIG EASY.

Very nice

Friendly and helpful staff. Very nice room. Some longer waits for elevators when large numbers of people were trying to change floors at the same time (lunch, post conference).

Great Biz Hotel - Close to Fr. Quarter

Everyone at the N.O. Sheraton works hard to make sure that all guests are taken care of. Location excellent - close to convention center, close to French Quarter. Great views of city and river. Rooms comfortable, clean -- a terrific value [...].
