Great location!
When we checked into the hotel, I had to ask the front desk to send someone to clean the bathroom. There was urine caked on the toilet and hair on the toilet and the bath tub. The person at teh desk sent someone while we were out at dinner - however, did not apologize. The next day, the cleaning person left the dirty sponge on the back of the door handle. The location was fantastic - truly walking distance to any where you intend to travel. Overall, the hotel was nice. Beautiful lobby, good rooms. Not much interaction with the staff except for the cleanliness factor. I was unimpressed by the response.

Weekend getaway
Overall the service was very good; although we did not spend much time in the hotel or interacting with the staff. My husband does require some handicap assistance and we were given an accommodating room; and the concierge was helpful in finding resources to rent a wheelchair, which was of tremendous help!

Great location
This hotel is located within walking distance of many places you need to visit, if you are coming to New Orleans as a first time tourist. Our room was not exceptional, but it was clean and comfortable. The staff was not overly friendly, but not rude either.

Great place and location
nice clean hotel, amenities good, food/bar good, wish the pool was open - not sure why, that was one of the reasons we picked this hotel was for the pool. A reason of the door lock does not work is silly. I really wanted to lay out at the pool to relax besides seeing the parades. Even if it was temporarityt, we should have know aboutg it.

Nice place
I had a view of the French Quarters from my room. It was within walking distance to Bourbon Street and easy access to the parades. The staff recommended a breakfast place we love. Overall, most the staff was knowledgeable.

Sheraton Hotel, New Orleans, La
The staff was great the only thing that was missing was the pool wasn't working, they said it was broken so I was not able to do my physical therapy while I was there, but other than that things were fine.

Sightseeing tip:
Long walk from hotel
The French Quarter was great, but I will never go there again during Mardi gras. The whole town was a crazy mess. We stayed in the hotel and took pictures of the parade and the next day went to The french quarter.

Sheraton Canal Street New Orleans La
The overall space, etc. was good. We were there during Mardi Gras (on business) so there were special considerations. The hotel is older, needs some updating, and the rooms are noisy! You can hear people in the hallways, and rooms next door. You also can hear your neighbors taking showers, flushing toilets, and running water. The location is great if you don't mind city noise. We would not stay in this Sheraton again due to the noise!

Mardi Gras
I found the hotel very disappointing, the bathroom had no exhaust fan, so after showering had to open the bathroom door to let out steam buildup. Everything else was so-so.

Great Hotel to Stay
When I am in New Orleans I always stay at the Sheraton, however if you stay during Mardi Gras you will be hit with unpublished rates, but overall, its in a good location, the room service food is great but expensive, and the staff is very prompt with the bell service and valet parking. I would highly recommend to stay here.
