is it okay?

Is it okay to charge for the internet and long distance calls if the customer does not use them? In this hotel they charge for it. Room was small, the bathroom was even smaller, simply tiny, not enough space for two. Best thing is location and cleanness of the room, I can't complain about these.

PLEASE AVOID THIS HOTEL

Please avoid this hotel at all cost I beg of you. Their equipment i.e. their door malfunctioned to the point that their employees were able to in and steal over 2000 dollars worth of technology!! What makes it worse the general manager could give a rats toe what happened to my best friend and I. We felt like we were less than nothing although we were out 2500 (the cost of our stuff and hotel cost) She did not care to make anything right. Please spend your money at a better hotel with a real name Hilton, Sheraton etc I do not want this to happen to anyone else. Nothing but theives and inconsiderate people its just sad.

Great location not so great atmosphere.

The hotel seemed a bit expensive for what you got. The room wasn't very clean, there were stains on the floor, & our 'queen' bed was definitely only a full. But it was a short walking distance to bourbon st so the location made up for what it lacked in comfort & luster.

Complete Disaster

The room was ok. Somehow what I order online wasn't what I got. I had to jam 3 people in a one bedroom.

Great Location

A girlfriend and I attended the Heritage Jazz Festival (last weekend in April). Great location just one block from Canal Street and less than two blocks from Bourbon Street. Everything was within walking distance. We walked down to Riverfront every morning and just about everwhere else. St. Charles Streetcar runs right in front of hotel with lovely ride to Garden District.

Good price for great location

Easy walk to the French Quarter, downtown, Garden district, etc. Hotel was very nice although room was a little bit cramped. Parking could have been a little expensive but if you don't need to drive to get there, you wont really need a car. Everything is within walking or bus distance.

Nice for the Price

Hotel was convenient to shopping, restaurants, trolley stop just outside the door. Only a few blocks to the french quarter. The coffee shop was nice on the first floor. Check-in was fast and staff very friendly. The only problem we had was maid service. We had to request them clean our room on the 1st day as they hadn't cleaned it by 4:00 p.m. We also had to constantly request bath or hand towels as they would not leave enough even though they knew we had 3 guests in our room.

Good location but with little problems

Service was very good, hotel is clean, but they have plenty of extra charges that increase the cost. I don't know about other rooms, but in my room I could hear everything that my neighbors were talking about. Luckily they fell asleep, so I could rest, too, otherwise I was close to ask for another room. I would expect a little bit more comfort in the room that is called "De luxe", for example not enough room on both sides of the bed, so if you are travelling with your wife, you might find difficult getting up at night. Probably other rooms have better relationships between walls beds and furniture. I think 75 dollars is the top price I can pay for the room like that, nevertheless I enjoyed the stay in this hotel.

Rude-al St. Charles

Well it all started off at check in where our room type was changed from 2 doubles to a senior king which consisted of a king bed and sofa bed by being told "It's all we have left." I was then told to give my valet slip to "them" and when I asked "who?" was rudely pointed in the direction of the valet stand. Later, after a night out we returned to our room, pulled out our sofa bed to find one single duvet cover on top with no duvet inside, not a fitted sheet in sight! So, we call down to the desk to request some sheets, pillows and blankets and are informed that the laundry is closed and they will "try". About an hour later we get a knock on the door; it's someone delivering 2 flat sheets! We ended up sleeping 3 in a bed and one poor friend slept wrapped up in a bunch of sheets with a sweater for a blanket. The last and final straw was picking up the cars from the valet at checkout when we went to get our cars, there was no valet in sight. After a few minutes of milling around the desk area (clearly in view of the front desk) we decided to go look outside. Still, no valet. Finally, we return to the front desk to ask where the valet might be only to find out she had our keys all along! And they were returned to us without a word, slapped down on the counter. We definitely will never stay here again.

Cool, no really, cool...nice hotel

Stayed 2 days prior to cruise, excellent location St. Charles line is right out the door, Casino and Bourbon street. walking distant, As for the Basillica and Cafe Monde, nice hike along the river 15 20 minute walk. Easy cab to the port, set fee 7 dollars per person. I thought with the location of the hotel and port I'll walk it, but with rolling luggage its a longerwalk than anticipatd, take a cab.. Need a smoking room dbl. got as requested, but no ashtrays and no tv remote...first night heat didn't work (frozen toes here), but were quickly assigned another room with heat, ashtrays and remote. The second basic room set-up anemities, extras, information, were inconsistant with the first room and the rooms were side by side, odd...Coffee tea pastries and sandwiched availabe in the lobby, including breakfast sandwiches nicely done by and outside coffe shop company. Since its a smaller Hotel, I noticed later check-in guest were disappointed with the room they were given, (thought they were all on the same floor) call 24 hours prior to confirm room type especially if you are a smoker/non smoker. No operable ice machine on floor had to get ice 2 floors up...no big deal, looks like it was in process of being repaired.
