Awesome location

I love that we could walk to canal street and were instantly in the middle of everything. Discounted valet service was awesome eventhough they took forever to bring the car around. Room had huge windows, big bathrooms and the safe came in handy. Overall I must recommend.

Overrated

Desperately in need of updating, took 3 tries before we got a room that was actually prepared when we opened the door, cramped small rooms, definitely overrated, not a 3 star, only 1

the good and the so-so

The location was super, on the St. Charles' streetcar line and only a block from Canal. It was easy to get around and we didn't have to move our car in and out. The hotel staff was friendly and one of their valet staff went out of his way to get our phone charger out of the car. The room was small and awkwardly laid out. The view out of our window was of several buildings' roofs (obviously abandoned). For the price and the special extras we got (free parking and a riverboat cruise) the hotel was well worth the price. Would stay there again.

About 8 blocks from Harrah's and the Aquarium, but the Canal St. streetcar was just across the street and at $1.25 a ride or $5 for the whole day, you could ride all the way.

New Orleans Getaway

[...] The hotel is located one block off Canal Street right across from the French Quarter. It is convenient to all the Quarter attractions. In and out via the valet is easy, just requires a twenty or thirty minute notice. Right by the streetcar line. Room was small but nice. Coffee shop in the lobby. Staff was great!

Dining tip: Long walk from hotel

Drago's at the Hilton Riverfront! Get the chargrilled oysters-the best bite in New Orleans! Of course there are all of the other attractions and restaurants but we always go back to Drago's. We were also pleasantly surprised by the Gazebo Cafe on Dacatur near the French market. Muffaletta and alligator bites!

New Orleans

They gave us wrong room type, dirty floors, bad tub drainage and poor water pressure, poor quality amenities, unfriendly front desk staff. Nice location though and friendly valets. Overpriced for the quality and amenities.

Very close to Bourbon Street and Canal Street. Wear comfortable shoes cause the streets are uneven and dirty.
