Decent hotel
Overall the room was really nice, we had five people with us the room was almost set up like a two bedroom apartment with plenty of space. The one thing that really bothered me about the staff was, when we checked in she asked us how many parking spaces we needed, naturally I said two as we had two cars. So we enjoy our trip, check out the last day, and head back home, about a week later I realize I have a charge on my credit card from the hotel. Turns out parking was $22 a night per car. I was never told this and it didn't say this on the parking stickers. I just don't like being lied to, which is why I could only give this hotel 3 stars.

BED BUGS!
On my first night at the hotel, I found a bug on my pillowcase (rm 175). The next morning I found 2 dark spots on the sheets which made me concerned for bed bugs. I spoke with the front desk person who arranged for an outside company to come in and inspect. I waited in my room until 2pm when the inspector came and found bugs. The hotel offered to have all my clothes cleaned which I accepted, and they moved me into a new room. I only had one change of clothes for the next 24 hrs while the rest of my clothes were being cleaned. The staff were reasonable and quick to respond to the issue but the hotel only gave me $50 off my bill after I requested some sort of compensation for all the trouble I went through. Management never contacted me during my stay or afterwards. The hotel was only concerned about containing the infestation. Beware!

Great staff and lovely courtyard
Convenient to the Convention Center in the heart of the warehouse district. Several nice restaurants nearby, including Emeril's just 2 blocks away. Wonderful front desk staff, rooms comfortable with temperature controls and ceiling fans. Full kitchen--well suited for short or long stay. The courtyard area with swimming pool was a bonus--very nice layout. Would stay here again. Great for couples or families. Breakfast included.

Comfort and convenience
The hotel is located close to the convention center in the warehouse district--very close to excellent restaurants like Cochon and Tommy's, as well as the WWII museum. The block it's on is sort of in transition, but the hotel itself was great. We were there for a Blues festival that was only a few blocks away. Our room was spacious, comfortable and well equipped. We did have a problem with the ice maker in our fridge, so they brought us a bag of ice--very nice. We enjoyed the lovely courtyard, pool and hot tub, often taking our breakfast outside.

Great fun in NOLA
The Residence Marriott in the Warehouse area of NOLA is a great vacation stay for couples or families wanting to relax in comfort and enjoy the sights in NOLA. The rooms are spacious with a kitchenette, living area, sleeping area, dressing area and bathroom. Clean and relaxing pool/spa, tennis courts and outdoor patio area. Our suite was very comfortable, clean and affordable. Within walking distance of the streetcar line, the Frence Quarter, the Riverwalk, and many fine restaurants. We walked to the ferry which was a free pedestrian ride to the Gretna Jazz Festival. We will definitely book this hotel on our next visit to NOLA!
