Great Place to Stay

We enjoyed everything about the stay. The only downsitde was getting into the hotel through construction, and it was pretty dark for accessing on foot.

January trip

Great location, close to Bourbon Street. Room clean and very roomy. Nicely made up by Housekeeping. Was in town for a wedding so was too busy to experience bar/restaurant/gym, etc. A microwave would have been nice. But had use of mini fridge and coffee maker.

Great location!

Very well located, 2 blocks from bourbon st, just acroos canal st. Lots of things to do nearby. The only drawback is that even if you book the club level room, the WiFi in your room is not free, just in the lobby.

Good location

Very well located in lower midtown, 1 block from subway, nice places to have dinner in less than a block, starbucks on the corner. Rooms with 2 beds are very small (a friend of mine shared this room with her friend), but rooms like mine with queen/king bed are very confortable. Staff is OK, not a must. Lobby is beautifull and impressive, but no bar service, no room service, no mini bar in the rooms.

Good

First night, I was staying a room next night, which were squeaking all night long and I could not sleep, though next day they placed me into much more quiet room.

Surprisingly well appointed

The hotel is surprisingly well appointed. From the outside, it doesn't look like much. However, once inside, the lobby is clean, modern and well appointed with free internet access in the lobby and a Starbucks. The rooms are spacious with mini-fridge so that you can bring back salads or perishables to eat later in the day. There is a really nice restaurant in the lobby as well. There are nice jazz posters on each floor. The location is not the best because it is near a construction site in the biz district so it is desolate at nite and you have to walk passed construction workers during the day. It is close to the French Qtr - 2 blks off of Canal. There is also a huge CVS about 2 blks away on Canal. I needed a presciption while I was in NO and was able to get it in 1 hr. The hotel staff is very pleasant and helpful. It has look of a W Hotel without the steep price. I would def recommend it and I would stay there again. If you are a Marriott rewards customer, you can also get points for your stay.

In a word - "Excellent"

I stayed down the road from this hotel and wanted to try it for myself because I'd heard great things about it. I was quite impressed. There's a lot going on (room service, bar, restaurant downstairs) for a "boutique" type hotel close to the Quarter. I loved the room, lighting in the room, fragrant hallways, computer access to print out boarding passes -- absolutely everything. Everyone was so personable and made me feel special, more special than any NOLA hotel I've stayed in thus far. I will definitely return.

Dining tip: Short walk from hotel

Harrah's breakfast buffet. Thank God for buffets. Much cheaper than some of the restaurants around.
