For New Orleans, not bad

A perfectly fine stay. About 4-5 very walkable blocks from Bourbon Street; far enough to be quiet at night, but close enough to be convenient and safe, even if drunk. When judging hotels in New Orleans, it's best to remember you're in New Orleans, especially if you're anywhere vaguely near the French Quarter. The room was pretty par for the course: a little small, except that it's New Orleans, and all the rooms everywhere are small. The beds were a little saggy, which is also normal for New Orleans. The service was adequate, but not helpful or particularly friendly... you guessed it: also very normal for New Orleans. The bathroom was on the small side, but well within normal New Orleans standards. Same with the cleanliness and general upkeep of the building. Good for New Orleans. And the price is great for New Orleans. If you want an immaculate room, with crisp, clean walls, carpet, bedding, etc.... if you want a room that doesn't show 20 years of regular use, then you have to pay twice as much or more and stay at the big Sheraton on Canal. The Sheraton is gorgeous. Pristine. Beautiful. Expensive. The Queen and Crescent was just fine, and had a good price. Just remember, you're in a city that's always been slow, dirty and a little dysfunctional. You can't hold it to normal, function standards. This is a city with French and Spanish heritage, so it's a little lazy and egotistical. If you want clean and crisp, proper and well-managed, go to Maine or Iowa.

Queen was more like a pauper

Staff was extremely unfriendly. We waited in line to check in with all of our bags in hand while the staff joked around with each other. The hotel building we were in was next door and no one was there to help with our bags. The door of our room was in a corner with two doors like an inch a way so you could hear all the noise as people left their rooms. The door to the room next door didn't lock so they could have come into our room at any time. Toilet was dirty when we arrived. The bed was tiny. You could not see out of the window due to dirt and some film that was placed over the window. There was no remote. No refrigerator or microwave. Had to evacuate hotel due to fire alarm at 2:30 AM!! I would not stay there again.

Worst hotel ever

upon check in our room type was not available we had a reservation for king, they only had 2 doubles, real fun for a married couple, and the girl at front desk was an extremely rude plus there were additional fees to check in not listed on site anyplace. The first room had broken furniture and the lights did not work in bathroom, the moved us to another room that had mold on the ceiling and the walls so i walked out and went to another hotel the 30 mins spent at the Queen and Crescent were the worst i have every spent in a hotel.

Sufficient/Affordable, Not comfortable

Stayed at Q&C for the NFC Championship Game starring The Saints. Chose this hotel over Country Inn & Suites for the $99 price ($20 difference between the hotels), and free parking ($25-$35 value). Next time I will pay a little extra for Country Inn on Magazine. This was my second time staying at Q&C so I had an idea of what to expect. I remembered a more comfortable room last time. Unlike my first experience, despite it being an anticipated sell out weekend for the hotel, the front desk and valet/bellhop was quite understaffed. The valet were superfriendly, but it takes a good 30 minutes to get your car. At checkout on Sunday, there was only one person at the desk at peak checkout time, the same person there by herself at checkin the day before. It has to be tough to be the only person working at high volume times, but basic customer service standards would make that person friendlier/happier than what we experienced at this hotel. The front desk lady was efficient and was not rude, but she was stern enough that we did not want to cross her and without any reason she made us feel like we/everyone annoyed her, although she did her job effectively. I believe we had the handicap access room on the 5th floor, which is only evidenced by the bathroom...lots of hand rails, small sink area, and hand held shower head which only rained water around the outside perimeter not throughout the whole head. I believe I booked a King, but the bed was only full size, not even Queen. There is no closet, only a small armoire containing a 19" TV, with about a foot of space to hang clothes. We only needed a place to sleep and didn't require luxury, but I prefer a decent shower at least. Continental breakfast included coffee and make your own waffles.

Terrible and Inconvenient

[...]. It was ok, not like the pictures and the sheets and pillows were stained. We looked at one more and finally just settled. On the 8th floor the internet doesn't work so she refunded the 7.95 fee charged for internet and amenities. The free cruise we had with the package didn't happen, the hotel said it was sold out, and had no more information sheets to find times for the next day. The next day it was cancelled. Just a bad experience!!!! Some rude staff, and some ok.

Worst Experience at a Hotel!

This was the worst experience I have ever had with a hotel. The valet parked my car in a no parking zone which resulted in me getting a ticket and having my car towed right in front of the hotel! I then had to wait an hour and a half for the general manager to help us locate my car. Thankfully, the hotel was responsible for the ticket and the towing. The best things about the hotel were the comfort of the room and the location (minus the parking, of course.) I certainly will NOT recommend this hotel to anyone that I know.

It was clean and quite. Was on a team building business dinner, it was just a one night stay at the hotel to be off the road after a nice dinner. There is a extra $7 Luxury fee for things I did not need.
