Good times, great value.

This building is classic. Entering through the front door yields a classic artistic honesty, comfort, and intrigue directly tied to the city around it. The elevators themselves present a preponderance unlike those shown in the travel guides -- I found myself waiting for Tom Waits to appear -- spooky in a renaissance sort of way. The room was quite comfortable. Akin more to something my grandmother would request. There's a calming about the place that invites one to slow down and enjoy every last minute of your time in New Orleans. I proffer to you my highest recommendation -- the Queen and Crescent: In the heart of it all.

Nightlife tip: Short walk from hotel

Beer and a shot for $5.00. A block or so off of Bourbon street, so you can avoid all the amateur drinkers.

New Orleans and its people were awesome!

We had a great time in this city! The hotel that we stayed at was good. It was clean and pretty close to the action. We had a great view from the room however I would maybe look for a smaller hotel or a bed and breakfast for my next trip to new orleans. Oh yea, and our air conditioner would run all night no matter what you set it at. That was a little annoying.

Not what was promised

We had been promised a double and got a single and roll away. Also we reserved two rooms and was given only one at this hotel and one was at another hotel a few blocks away. Coffee maker was broken and TV was very old. Only good parts were super A/C and really strong wifi.

It's probably better than sleeping on the street

Bought two rooms for a Bachelor party the weekend of the final four. Room 408: -Broken air conditioner. Called the front desk, they sent a guy up an hour or so later to tell us that "yeah, that fan is still spinning. It works." So it continued to blow warm air the whole night. -Serious bed bug infestation in one bed. Not in both though so that must be like a total plus. -Half eaten box of fudge rounds on top of the TV. Might be some of the cause for the smells. Room 508: -Empty magnum condom wrapper on top of the TV -Used gross nasty hairbrush on top of the TV cabinet Both Rooms: -Various stains, smells around the room. Not good stains (if those exist) but bad ones. -It appears that there are many crimes committed in these rooms (both deviant and violent) on a regular basis. -Sheets felt like you were trying sleep under that tissue paper you stuff presents with. Where they clean? Doubt it. -2 towels per room. Perfect situation for 4 guests per room? Pshyeah. Called the front desk, towels never came. Some folks went without the shower. In summary, it is probably better than sleeping on the street.

It was OK; however, the rooms are WAY too small. The staff was very nice and easy to talk to.

good location, average service

This hotel is perfect for someone who wants to be close to the French Quarter, but not be bothered by the noise (or the cost) of the French Quarter. My only complaint was the check-in staff's failure to tell us there was a complimentary breakfast (so we spent three days paying for breakfast when we didn't need to). It was nothing special, but the price was right!

Great location, horrible staff

I booked the hotel a month in advance, and for 4 people. When I got to the hotel, I had 2 extra people...I had to pay for 4,an extra $111!!! When I got to my room it was not what I booked, it only had one bed...when I booked for 2 beds. When I tried to explain my discontent to the hotel staff they were extremely apathetic. I asked for a manager, to my amazement the staff said there was no manager for the night...on Mardi Gras weekend!! Management did refund the extra $111 I had to spend, but mine and my friends discomfort and overall experience was well below acceptable standards.
