Great Hotel for the Money
Staci Dec 22, 2009
Overall, the hotel stay was very pleasant. Location is right off Bourbon St. and can't be beat. Staff is very friendly and ... accomodating. Rooms are very clean and bathroom was spacious and spotless. The only gripe that I had was the beds. Matress was old and not very comfortable, pillows were thin and tiny and so was the blanket. However, its an awesome hotel for the money and I would definitely stay there again.

Location, location, location, and a neat, clean, friendly hotel too. The continental breakfast was limited but still ... appreciated in a downtown hotel. 1/2 block from Bourbon St. could be noisy but we were on the back side of the hotel and it was very quiet. $28 a day for parking seems high but in a city where you pay $10 for 3 hours in a lot it is a bargain. Reserve parking ahead during busy seasons or weekends.

About 5 blocks away in the French Quarter is the Lafitte National Park French Quarter site. At 9:30 each morning they give a FREE quided walking tour which is a great cultural, architectural, and geographical orientation to the area. Your entire party must be there at 9:00 to get tour passes. The site also has clean rest rooms that can be used while wandering in the French Quarter.

This may be available inside the hotel, but take the Katrina Tour > see the damage and the improvements. The WWII Museum is a MUST SEE > very well laid out, inexpensive and good. You will need a taxi or drive to the WWII Museum, but go see it. They are completing a second HUGE building, adding more displays > it is to be finished by end of 2009.

Nice and easy drive in for covered parking while checking in. Great location to French Quarter. Nice, quiet, clean, ... comfortable rooms. The $25 per night (plus tip) parking charge seems high, but car was off the street. Attached Bombay bar is a classy place to eat and drink. Good experience.

Good Price, Good Location
After Cruisers Sep 26, 2009
Great price for location in the middle of the French Quarter. Rooms were clean and nice. Walls are thin and you can hear ... your neighbors but we use a fan at night so we slept well. They even let us check in 2 hours early since we were arriving from the cruise ship. They had a continental breakfast which was a welcome surprise and was not advertised in my booking.

I stayed at the Prince Conti Hotel while visiting my daughter at school in New Orleans. The place was clean with a breakfast ... buffet that was sufficient for a quick breakfast. There are plenty of other places within a quick walk. I liked that it was right in the French Quarter and easy to get to everything. Rooms were very clean. Not a bad place for the price.

We got stuck in a room close to the ice maker - very noisy! Also could hear music from nearby bar and people in next ... room! It's New Orleans - the town doesn't sleep! If you go there anywhere in New Orleans for rest- you're missing out!

Court of Two Sisters for brunch, Pat O'Briens for drinks, K-Pauls for wonderful dinner (be in line at 4pm if you don't want to wait), Landrys for lunch or dinner, Bombay club if you don't want to walk anyway (attached to hotel), Cafe Du Mond for classic Beignets and Chickory Coffee

Fantastically located right next to Bourbon St. For the price, rooms were better than expected. Spacious, clean, and included ... all the basic amenities. Downside is that valet is $25/day plus tax and they did not offer to help with loading or unloading at any time.

Several yrs ago we stopped by New Orleans for an afternoon and I have always wanted to go back. What I found this time was ... not what I wanted to find. It was nothing but a immoral haven (a word this site won't let me use) and I would not go back. The hotel had a excellent location and was clean. Several of the personal was very helpful and pleasent. Other's were not. THe above comment dosn't refer to the hotel but the surrounding area.

A number of very fine restaurants within short walking distance. Try Two Sisters and also go to the Jackson Brewery on Decatur for the catfish.
--David, Oconomowoc Nov 25, 2008
Sugar shack was a nice place to watch football. Oceania had great seafood, just down the block. Avoid the De Ja Vu just accross the street. It was a smoky, greasy dive which did not have many items in stock.
--Robert, Muskego Nov 25, 2008
For fine dining, Arnaud's and GW Fin are within two blocks; both were outstanding. Across the street from the hotel is a tiny German restaurant. Good food - reasonably priced. About a three-block walk is Deanie's, a family-style restaurant with very good food, especially their salads.
