Birthday celebration

the staff and location were great but the room smelled bad, the desk chair was stained, lamp shades with holes and bathroom sink drained slow. The location was great right in the middle of bourbon walkable to tourist sites but I would never stay there again. It definently motivated me to go out and sight see and party bc the last thing I wanted to do was stay longer in the room. Oh and only 1 ice machine/ vending machine on the 2 nd floor and extremely slow elevator.

not as promised

The review stated that the hotel had room service which it did not. The hotel only had one valet employee so check in was delayed. The beds were uncomfortable and the room was dirty. Extremely unhappy with this place.

Skip this place. Had to call travel agent to get assistance.

I could have rated it 3 overall but we were misled by the clerk at the frond desk. The first room we had was very small and awful - what appeared to be mold on the bathroom walls as well as bulging plaster from apparent water damage. After 2 nights we were told the elevator was out and they didn't expect repair until the next day (it was repaired before noon the next day). I told the people at the front desk that I wanted a different room that was larger and not facing the street. I was told by the clerk that all there rooms were about the same size. Because of a large event coming in town she wasn't sure what they could do for us. I called travel agent customer service and they were as helpful as they could be but they were told nothing could be done until the next morning because no one with authority was working on Sunday! We did get another larger room (in spite of what the clerk told me) the next day. The rest of our stay was OK. On the last day of our stay we met a very pleasant, energetic staff person that helped us reactivate our electronic keys that had been de-activated for unexplained reasons. Where was she the previous 7 days???

Unsatisfactory Stay

Front desk staff was rude and so extremely slow at check in. With no other guests to take care of, it took about 30 minutes to check in! Room was spacious, but lighting was very dim with all lights on. Lamp shade next to bed was torn; sink had a slow drain. One small bottle of shampoo for 2 people. Cannot recommend and will not return!

what is really hidden in New Orleans

the hotel staff had zero personality and to discover that the car we had rented would cost us $30.00 a day to park in the hotel area was a shock as we weren't told of that little detail in advance

An experiance

The staff was wonderful, but the rooms were not like what was pictured. I was sincerly disappointed with the hotel itself. The bombay bar was very nice, the bartender was friendly and helped us find other places to go hang out. The drinks were overpriced though.

Neglected, but has potential

Conveniently located in the heart of the French Quarter. The Prince Conti was obviously once a very nice hotel, but it has become shabby and is very much in need of an investment in a complete renovation. The rooms are small but furnished well. Cleanliness was marginal. In addition to the generally rundown condition of the hotel, the service staff, with a few exceptions, were inhospitable and unhelpful. The management needs to implement a complete re-training program in customer service. One positive note - breakfast was both reasonably priced and very good. Guests get a complimentary continental breakfast or seven dollars credit toward a breakfast entree. Once of the few dining experiences in the French Quarter that was a bargain!
