Place D'armes
For a traveler, this hotel is in a good location and the price found on orbitz was not that bad. Some downfalls are that interior rooms are BLACK at night and mornings because there is no light and there is some noise in the interior front rooms as well when people are walking through at night. But it was comfortable, clean, and worth the stay.

The hotel is located in the French Quarter. Cafe du Monde, the beignet place, is really close and Bourbon street is not far off. There are several restaurants in the area that are some what reasonably priced for it being the french quarter in New Orleans.

we stayed in two rooms hotel was nice but one room was tiny, the pool needed cleaniand the tiny room which was non smoking reeked of smoke great location though

Place D'Armes New Orleans French Quarter
A little challenging for the wheelchair bound. The elevator is small and the doors on the bathrooms will not accomodate many wheelchairs. When we mentioned this to the staff they did all they could to find a suitable room for us.

It's Okay, Nothing Special
We spent four days on a walking tour of the French Quarter and surrounding area. The Hotel is in a great location but Place D'Armes has nothing else to offer. They lack an exercise room/gym which is essential in a city known for its caloric laden cuisine. The rooms are cute but small. The breakfast was reasonable for us but only consists of pastries, juice, coffee. Place D'Armes isn't the worst, but I won't be back.

Good Hotel
About average. It was hard to communicate with the cleaning staff when they stopped by and some days they didn't come until 5 PM. The location is absolutely wonderful though, and the folks at the front desk are fantastic!

Good value, excellent location!
The location was excellent!!. We were about a block from Jackson Square. My only complaint was that the room had no window and was really small, but we weren't in the room that long so I really didn't mind.

great location/no car needed
truly great location/no car needed. rooms are small but cute, terrible swimming pool (do not even think about using it). few people got sick cause we could not adjust their outdated air conditioners.

Nice stay
The courtyard is extremely beautiful. This is one of the best locations. You are a few steps from jackson square & alpine - home of the awesome hurricane. This was not our first stay here, & it won't be the last.

Charming courtyard in a convenient location
The Place D'arms is in the back end of the French quarter, which makes it ideal for accessing popular spits like cafe de monde and Jackson square while avoiding the chaos of bourbon street. The room was small and more dated than dirty. The staff was knowledgable about the area. The courtyard was filled with lovely trees and wrought iron tables. A nice escape and made up for the small room.

Go to Stanleys for breakfast. Great and filling food but can be a little pricey.
