Nice place!
Robyn Nov 19, 2009
Everything went smoothly from and easy check in, restful nights sleep, and an even easier check out. The view overlooking the ... courtyard was beautiful, along with the view from the 7th floor patio area. Magnificent views of New Orleans. I attended a conference at the hotel as well and all staff catering the event were polite and accommodating.

They put me in a room by the elevators - so noisy I couldn't sleep most of the night. BUT they moved me the next day - no ... questions - and it was quiet. Great staff. Nice hotel. Great location. I'd stay there again if I could specify a room away from the elevators.

Omni Royal Stay in New Orleans
Val Oct 2, 2009
The Omni Royal of New Orleans is a wonderful hotel, centrally located to all my favorite places in the French Quarter. It is ... just 2 1/2 blocks away from Jackson Square, and many, many of my favorite restaurants. I walked everywhere! The roof top pool and fitness center was a real bonsus as was the business center down by the Rib Room. The staff was exceedingly helpful and friendly. On top of that it is a very elegant hotel.

Pros/Cons
Juls Jul 6, 2009
The room I stayed in was probably the smallest hotel room I have ever stayed in. I booked a Petite Queen Suite thinking it ... had "250 square feet, one queen bed, a sitting area with a queen-sized sofa bed, and large bathroom." It only had a queen bed, a night stand, small desk, armoir w/ a tiny tv, small closet, & a tiny bathroom. It felt like only 120-150 square feet. The bathroom floor looked like it wasn't cleaned. There was dust flying out of the air vents in the room. The soft sheets & hotel location were the only good things about it. I won't be staying there again.

Great Stay!
Evie Jun 1, 2009
The hotel was very nice and we loved the balcony as it gave a little more space. Even though the rooms and bathroom are a ... little small, the hotel is very nice and in a great location. It was surprisingly quiet and restful for being right in the French Quarter. The staff was very helpful and friendly. We loved the rooftop pool. This is the second Omni hotel we have stayed at and both hotels were really nice. We were right down the street from Nolas, which is a wonderful restaurant. We walked everywhere, so there was no need to take a cab. It was a fun trip!

This was our third visit to the Omni Royal Hotel. We've travelled to New Orleans many times to attend Jazzfest or the French ... Quarter Festival and this is our favorite hotel. The location is great, the staff friendly and the pool area with an obervation deck overlooking the Missippi is beautiful. The rooms are smallish but clean and nicely furnished. We cannot wait to return.

There are lots of wonderful places to eat fancy or simple near the hotel. Muriel's, Arnaud's, Acme Oyster, The Redfish Grill, Stanley's, Cafe du Mondeto name a few. Many beautiful shops and galleries, too.

This was a perfect location for our visit to all the French Quarter sites. We could walk to everything and it was quiet even ... being only one block off Bourbon St. Excellent, friendly staff. Enjoyed the Rib Room & bar in the Hotel. So many Great places to eat that we'll have to go back to enjoy some more. Court of Two Sisters had the best Bloody Marys.
