From the exquisite, Victorian-style ironwork outside, to the flower-decked terraces of the rooftop pool, the Omni Royal Orleans brings its own mix of old and new to the Big Easy. Executive writing desks in the 19th century rooms make business a pleasure here, along with the high-speed Wi-Fi in the lobby (fees may apply), and the traditional on-site barber shop and shoeshine service beckon with Southern hospitality.

Romantic hotel just far enough from Bourbon Street

I was looking for a hotel for my husband and I to stay at for a quick trip to New Orleans and this was the perfect choice. It is a beautiful hotel, great rooms, great pool. We did not eat here, so I cannot comment on the food. The location was ideal for us - right in the French Quarter but far enough away from the chaos of Bourbon Street.

Nice hotel, great location

They put me in a room by the elevators - so noisy I couldn't sleep most of the night. BUT they moved me the next day - no questions - and it was quiet. Great staff. Nice hotel. Great location. I'd stay there again if I could specify a room away from the elevators.

Great Romantic Weekend Away

The hotel is beautiful and the restaurant and bar are extraordinary. The staff is friendly and attentive. The rooms are a bit small, but that's to be expected with historical hotels. Right in the heart of the French Quarter. This is a great place to get away from it all!

A Fine Choice!

Not overly swanky or uppity, but a solid 4-Star+ with a rooftop pool. Room was small and lacking any kind of a dresser which didn't work for me, but would be fine for overnighters. The space the dresser should be was taken up by their food/beverage bar which I didn't use, but got charged for 2 $7 bottles of local water, anyways. Staff was very friendly and the housekeeping dept. was top notch. Even if you don't use the rooftop pool, take the elevator up their for the observation deck and the best views of Nawlins.

Short but nice stay

Grabbed a last minute one-night stay at an incredible price. The location was outstanding (although parking predictably expensive) and the feel of the place was classy/very New Orleans French Quarter. The room I reserved (petit queen) was European in size and truly wouldn't have been comfortable for 2 ... having said this, I knew what I was getting into before I booked it and found it very comfortable. The room and floor I was on was in need of "refreshing." I was told by the bartender that the hotel was in the process of renovating floor-by-floor, which is good to know. The bathrooms are typical of an old hotel - and part of the experience ... not much counter-space in this room - but again part of the package if you want the French Quarter feel (I'm sure there are exceptions but not at this price and with this level of class!).

Great old hotel, but showing it's age

Beautiful historic hotel, but some problems with plumbing and the rooms are not modern at all. However, they knocked 100 off of the bill for everyone in the hotel for the day the plumbing was messed up. Location simply couldn't be better.
