Romantic hotel just far enough from Bourbon Street
I was looking for a hotel for my husband and I to stay at for a quick trip to New Orleans and this was the perfect choice. It is a beautiful hotel, great rooms, great pool. We did not eat here, so I cannot comment on the food. The location was ideal for us - right in the French Quarter but far enough away from the chaos of Bourbon Street.

A Royal Experience
The Omni Royal makes you feel welcome from the minute you arrive until departure. The rooms are thoroughly cleaned, have comfortable beds, and a great shower. The 7th floor pool and bar lounge is a great place to relax with a great view of the city & Mississippi River. The friendliness of all staff and a great French Quarter location would be my biggest reasons for a return visit. The only minuses would be a parking fee of $38 per day (includes tax) will add up quickly for lengthy stays. For smaller suites, there's no passing room when the bureau drawers are opened because the end of the bed is right there.

Rooftop pool deck is an oasis from walking around. Staff is awesome and very accommodating. Perfect location for all your needs in French Quarter without being right on Bourbon. This is our second stay and we will continue to go back.

Great hotel
Most notable are the decor (different from modern sym-hotels, i.e. Marriott). The staff is extraordinarily friendly and helpful.

Great location, a couple blocks from Jackson square. Rooms are outdated and the facility needs an overhaul, but overall good enough for a short trip. Word of advice, ask for a higher floor since any rooms below the top level which don't face the street will face a wall instead.

Weekend trip
Friendly staff. Dirty room and very dated. Manager did have it recleaned, but still not great. Hotel in major need of a renovation. Great location. Have stayed at many omnis in the past, which is why I choose this one.

Great location
This historic hotel is very nice. The room was small and there wasn't much space in the bathroom, but it was easy walking distance to everything in the French Quarter. The bed was very comfortable. The hotel is kept up well, and the staff is friendly.

Great Stay
In town for the work boat show and this was close enough to the convention center and far enough from bourbon st to let me sleep. Great room, great staff.
