Great trip, horrible hotel

Wonderful location in New Orleans. Hotel not so good. Sent a complaint to hotel but still have not heard anything back. Started with no water upon arrival, 2nd leak in hotel room during the night. 3rd room service tray left in hallway the entire day had to step over it to get to elevator. Lastly, staff forgot to clean our room the entire day came back after 8 hours of sight seeing to dirty room. Would not stayin Loews hotel again, will stick with Hilton hotels. That's what we get for venturing out.

Pretty hotel, but don't talk too loudly.

Stayed for 2 nights during Halloween weekend. The room and bathroom were very spacious with nice toiletries. The beds were comfortable and cozy. The restaurant Cafe Adelaide is under the same management as Commander's Palace. The service there was slow but the food was delicious. The lobby has undergone recent renovations and is very stylish. It was pretty easy to catch cabs in front of the hotel and the hotel was about a 15 minute walk to the French Quarter. The level of service for a high-end hotel was the only thing lacking. The doormen were all super friendly and nice. However, we happened to be staying in a room with a connecting door to another family with a baby. I was there for a bachelorette party so we were in the room chatting and getting ready for a Saturday night out. We received a noise complaint because the walls were so thin the next room could hear us. The first manager asked us to turn down our music, which we promptly did. Then another manager Arden, returned and tried forcing us to switch rooms (which was pointless bc we were checking out the next day) and threatened to kick us out if we didn't. I didn't appreciate being threatened to leave when we were paying guests and were not making excessive noise beyond talking and laughing. We decided not to switch rooms and just had to literally whisper the rest of the night. I think the whole situation could have been handled better. In addition, someone was smoking on our floor one night and entire hallways smelled like an ashtray. The maid service was mediocre. She just replaced the towels and shampoo and didn't appear to clean much else. The beds were made but still looked rumply.

Staff and location make for a pleasant stay

From the front desk to bell service, from housekeeping to a wonderful concierge, loew's has a lot to offer. Only felt room could have been a bit more luxurious, especially the bathroom, for the price. The location is within an easy walk to a variety of restaurants, the French Quarter, the river, and the convention center. Otherwise, cabs are readily available. Don't drive, parking is also pricey.

Great location!

Came for Jazzfest, perfect location! Short walk to the French Quarter as well as the Sheraton where the shuttle picked up for Jazzfest. Harrah's Casino is right across the street, very fun! Accommodating staff, friendly, courteous and made sure all was taken care of. Room was large and comfortable, very quiet and clean; the bed was amazingly plush and comfy. Refills of minibar could have been better as what we used didn't get replenished daily. The hotel bar is inviting with a gorgeous schooner chandelier and ice block for higher end liquors, very chic. We did not order any food from the hotel but they do have 24 hr room service. Definitely will stay here again next year for Jazzfest 2015!
