Terrific Girls' Trip

A childhood friend and I had a great time in the Crescent City after years of saying that we should get together "one day." Our stay at the J W Marriott was the icing on the cake. The staff was very friendly and helpful and went beyond the call of duty making us comfortable. We were sent off and welcomed back each day with a never-ending supply of ice-cold water available in the lobby---a small but appreciated gesture on those 95 degree days. It was a great place to come home to after a busy day seeing the sights and shopping. Free internet is the only thing that could've made our stay better. My next visit back to New Orleans will definitely include a stay here again!

Perfect location. Great Stay. Close to everything

we stayed there for 3 nights. Location is perfect, just bourbon street and french quarter is right across from canal street. Street cars at doorstep. French market, restaurants, ferry are steps away. I'd say this could be one of the best location you can ever get. Hotel staff were helpful, we booked a swamp tour which is same price as the street booth. but pick up is right from the hotel. Conceirge dinning recommendations fwas also great!. i would highly recommend this to everyone

Great place to see New Orleans the sites

The hotel itself was comfortable and clean. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Taxi and tour bus availability when not walking the sites of the city. Walking distance to Harrah's casino and the French Quarter. Tours offered to the swamps, cemeteries, voodoo, city, ghosts. We took the swamp tour and the dinner cruise down the Mississippi booked by the courteous concierge. Ate at Cafe Dumond via taxi although I have walked it before. Love this city and this hotel!!

Extraordinary Service

The staff could not have been more friendly and eager to make our stay as comfortable as possible, The location was centrally located to many restaurants and attractions. Exceptional tours included Racontours, Confederacy Bike Tour and the Movie Tour. Exceptional meals at Commander's Palace, NOLA, and Deanie's Seafood! The breakfast at Mother's was excellent as well! Cafe DuMonde cannot be missed! The WWII Museum was beyond description - a must visit when in New Orleans. Air Tran proved to be an excellent experience in terms of promptness and service. The only negative was the gate locations in Atlanta between connecting flights was quite a distance. Other than that, a great trip all around!

A perfect New Orleans experience

The JW is situated in the heart of the French Quarter and easy walking to many of the city's attractions. We walked to excellent restaurants, Bourbon St., and the new WWII museum. The JW Marriott staff was welcoming, helpful with directions, and the doormen were always ready to assist with bags and other needs with a big smile! The jazz club in the JW was an easy way to hear smooth jazz without needing to go any distance. Would definitely stay here again and recommend this hotel.

We took advantage of three wonderful tours. The Racontours Walking tour of the Garden District, The New Orleans Movie Tour, and the Confederacy of Cruisers Bike Tour. All portrayed the different historical elements which make New Orleans what it is. The World War II Museum is a must see.
