Luxury First Class International House www.ihhotel.com is the premier boutique hotel in the heart of America s most European city. Gorgeously idiosyncratic it has been anointed with an opulent redesign by LM Pagano whose private clients include Johnny Depp and Nicolas Cage. In addition to our Zagat award winning candlelit bar loa enjoy the enticing Basque-influenced restaurant Rambla by acclaimed restaurateur Kenneth LaCour. Luxury in the French Quarter

Hotel is very nice, very typical NO hotel, located withing walking distance to both Bourbon street for fun and the convention center for work. Several of NO's most famous restaurants and night clubs beckon from just around the corner and the knowledgeable and friendly staff know all the haps! The highlight is the Loa bar in the lobby where mixologist/spirit handler Alan works his magic conjuring up all sorts of herbal infused elixirs from his private staff of ingredients...not to be missed. The owners regularly swing through and chat with the clients regaling them with stories of NO and offering sage advise on where to go, what to do when you get there. Outstanding hotel! More of a bargan at "normal" prices than at the high peak I had to pay due to the end of Jazz fest coinciding with the busy convention I attended. Definitely recommend!

Beautiful hotel hiding a bad room

First off the hotel is beautiful and the staff is helpful and friendly. This hotel is known as a "boutique" hotel but is highly overpriced and lacking very much. My room was extremely small but that did not bother me because it was decorated beautify and I knew I wouldn't spend too much time there. However, when it came down to sleeping that was another story. It felt like I was sleeping on bricks and needless to say I slept terrible. Now onto the bathroom, again decorated nicely and was very bright and clean. If you are looking for a relaxing shower you should go somewhere else because it was like running through a sprinkler. The hotel towels were just as bad, they felt like sandpaper. Maybe for some people the Aveda bath products make up for such a bad experience but honestly they were not the best smelling. And if you are looking to make your own cup of coffee or tea in your room you can forget that because that is to provided in your room. They do provide nice glasses for water but no ice machines exist so you must drink lukewarm water. If you like lukewarm water the hotel has kindly places 2 bottles of water for $2.00 each so if you get thirsty in the middle of the night beware. All in all I was highly disappointed in this hotel. From the valet service, it takes 20 minutes to get your car and when you have to drop off your car there is no valet to park it, to the overpriced room. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone unless you want to spend a ridiculously amount of money for nothing. If you want your money's worth I would suggest going to a Marriott, they are also expensive but the amenities, valet, room, and staff are wonderful.

Beautiful, comfortable hotel in a prime location

The International is a boutique/bohemian style luxury hotel. Definitely a far cry from a standard chain like La Quinta, Marriott and such. The price definitely shows that though. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, providing recommendations and such beyond what the normal tourist activities are in New Orleans. The room was very nice, with a beautiful shower (large glass door walk-in with ample room for probably 8 people) and very, very comfortable beds. I would definitely recommend this to couples looking for a relaxing, lush, fantastic stay in New Orleans, but maybe not to a group of college guys looking for a cheap, economical stay. Added bonus is the 1 minute walk to the border of the French Quarter, less than 5 minutes to Bourbon and maybe a 15 minute stroll to Cafe du Monde.

Elegant Foyer, Contemperary Rooms

This hotel was lovely, but I did not know they charged for the room rather than the travel site charging for the room.
