Needs Housekeeping Improvement
After spending a long day walking around in the incredible heat of New Orleans, I was so wanting to come back to my room and relax. I left the room at 9 a.m. and returned at 2:30 p.m.-I thought ample time to make up the room. I waited until 3:30 p.m. and still no one showed. As a courtesy, I stripped the sheets, emptied the garbage and put everything (like dirty towels)in a heap. Called downstairs to just check about when housekeeping may come-got an attitude from the front desk and an extremely hostile person who cam into the room. She blew up at me when I told her I stripped the bed, telling me that she did not change the sheets until I had checked out. They do not do it on a regular basis. When she had finished, she had the nerve to tell me I could leave a tip for her at the front desk!!!

Short walk from hotel
Everything-a magnificent cathedral, stores, great buffets at Harrah's, the seafood and tomato festivals-were within walking distance. New Orleans needs the tourism desperately now, so please take a few days and visit that wonderful city. It really needs our support.

My review of St. Peter House Hotel
The hotel and room was ok, it had a neat courtyard. Although being in the French quarter there is NOwhere to park. You have luck up and fing a place on the street or possibly get lucky to find an open space in a parking lot 3 blocks away and walk with all of your luggage down the streets of new orleans.

great location
St. Peter House Hotel is located right in the French Quarter. The nice balcony gives a it a real New Orleans feel. The building is very old and shows signs of wear, but the furnishings in the room fit perfectly with the atmosphere. The room was below average in size, but the coziness was nice. There was plenty of space to hang clothes, and get ready for going out. Nice flat screen as well. It is only a few blocks to Burbon Street. Food and drink was close and plentiful.

ok for the price
The staff was somewhat rude and seemed put off by anyone who had a request. The location was ideal--close to my venue, but no amenities. The rooms were very basic, but no iron for my clothes and no table (not even a very small one) or even a chair. I like the area and I would stay there again, but a few small adjustments could make a lot of difference.

Great Location in NO
I chose to stay in this hotel because of the location. Ive been to NO many times & have stayed at different hotels. I would stay here again. It is very convieniently located to everything I am interested in doing & getting to. It is away enough from the loud, crowded, roudiness, so it can be nice & quiet when I wanted that. There was always someone there at the desk to help if needed. Someone to clean the room every day also. Its not a 5 star hotel, but for the price & location I for sure would stay there again.

I was in town for the French Quarter Festival and a reunion with friends. From check in to check out the hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The price was very good for a festival weekend in the quarter. you can walk from here to any location in the quarter safely.

i miss new orleans
cozy
not the nicest of places to stay, but it certainly has charm. we booked a balcony room, which happened to be on the corner, and was great. it's very easy to hear the outside traffic, but there isn't very much. the first floor rooms seemed miserable, so i would not stay here unless you get balcony access. the staff were very helpful! they say that they include breakfast, but you're really left up to your own there. they do, however, have coffee available 24 hours. the hotel is also located two blocks away from bourbon street, which makes it a very convenient location, but the whole city is very small and accessible. i highly recommend this hotel for non-fussy people!

Rustic Charm
The hotel fulfilled all of my requirements; inexpensive, authentic and in a convenient location. The plumbling is old (making for very slow drainage), the furniture is delapidated, and the trim could use some patching, but the hotel and its rooms are very traditional. The victorian furniture and high ceilings, not to mention the iron-enclosed balcony, accurately reflect the city's historic charm. I would glady stay again.

Southern Hospitality is alive and well !
My friends and I partyed, shopped, and went on the swamp trip and eat at some mighty fine trendy places. So far this was one of our favorites trips. The employees were so sweet and helpful at the hotel, plus helpful that we felt very much at home.
