Best hotel around French Quarter

Would recommend Fri, Sep 25, 2015
Location is really really good - right in the heart of where you want to be - but just far enough to avoid the puking drunks in your face. Rooms are perfectly up to date and has all the modern amenities you would expect from a 5 start hotel - which it is. Valet service is really good, but front desk isn't consistent in relaying messages to them when you call down for your car (I was waiting for a while until I walked over to the valet guy and they had no idea that I called to the front desk). I have stayed in New Orleans many times at other hotels (J.W. Marriott, Doubletree, Hilton, Hotel Royal) - and always felt that they were good, but not great. I have now found the great one and will be staying here each time I visit New Orleans.

trip with friends

My husband and I came down from NY with another couple. Loved the location of the hotel since we are clearly tourists. All the staff were friendly and helpful. The only negative I can think of is that the pool deck was extremely hot. Maybe some mats so people don't burn their feet? Other than that, an overall great experience!!

expensive

My stay at the Hyatt French Quarter was great. Its clean and in a great location. However, it is pricey. I paid almost $300 for one night then went across the street to the Mariott for my 2nd night. The Marriot is justas nice but does not have a pool and was $120 a night.

The hotel was excellent. The staff was professional and friendly, the in-lobby food options were great too. We especially liked the pool, and Charles the bartender at the pool bar was great! We will be back!

Great hotel. The price was a little high for one night, but it was the weekend of the French quarter festival. I would recommend staying here. The staff was very friendly and the location was great.

I booked a room with 2 queen beds but got 1 King. Hotel said they had no record of that. The hotel was ideally located near parade routes and the French Quarter.
