Great overall experience.

The St. Pierre is a great boutique style hotel, located in the heart of New Orlean and only a few blocks from Bourbon St. The rooms are great and the staff is exceptional. No complaints, and I would reccomend this hotel to all.

The staff were very friendly. the location is great for walking around the Quarter but without trying to sleep through the noise of Bourbon. The room had character, was clean and comfortable. I did not hear noise from outside while in the room. I would stay here again.

Good value

This Hotel is a reasonable value for the Quarter. The rooms are spacious and the decor is pure New Orleans.Situated in a more residential area, it is quiet with a two or three block walk to the excitement. The pool and courtyard have the old world feel and the component of jazz is throughout the old structure. If you are looking for a taste of the Quarter, with a place to retreat, you will be fine here.

Perfect Location

The hotel is in a perfect location in the North End of the French Quarters, not too close to Bourbon Street and not too far from Royal Street or the St. Louis Cathedral. The lobby was shabby chic, clean, and had a old charm feel. The check in hosts were not friendly, nor even looked like they were interested that we were staying at the hotel. The rooms were old, the door handle to the bathroom was falling off, the shower head needed replacing, there were burnt out lights in the bathroom, and the sheets were worn thin. The rooms were clean and if you like the feel of history, the feeling was there. The hotel has wireless internet but you could not use it in your room. You had to go to the guest kitchen to log on. The hotel did offer a continential breakfast everyday and there was gated parking across the street with a security guard during the day and night. We felt safe in this neighborhood and loved EAT Resturant down the street. We would probably try someplace different for a change off of Royal street. It was a safe place to sleep and leave for the day but was not a comfortable place to relax or work if needed.

Dining tip: Long walk from hotel

Cafe Amelie: This is a beautiful resturant on Royal Street, East of the St Louis Cathedral. Go at night and sit in the illuminated garden for the best cocktails and food we found in New Orleans. It is breathtaking and a nice refreshing change from the busy streets of New Orleans.

Run down disappointment

I was surprised at the deteriorated condition of the room. Bathroom floor was rotted out. Sheets were so thin they were like sheer fabric. Old, worn out and a high crime area of the French Qtr. Armed robbery and purse snatchings in the street in front of hotel late night. Dangerous to walk to & from at night.

good location in the quarter

this hotel is a good location in the french quarter but has very limited parking available. public parking is several blocks away. The room was clean. The bed was very hard. I would not recommend it if you are used to a soft, plush bed.

Good but Could Be Better

This location is great for partying in the French Quater, but if you are looking to be blown away by the decor and comfort this in not the location for you. The hotel has a very nostalgic atmosphere filled with southern french charm, however the decor is not up to date and one may find the rooms appeal to be very worn and unattractive. The hotel holds much potential, but for the price the presentation should be much nicer. The staff is very laid back, almost too laid back to be much help to the arriving guest. I have stayed at many different hotel in New Orleans and in comparison for the price I would give this location a 6 out of 10. Free is provided but not gauranteed because the parking lot is very small and limited.

Nightlife tip: Short walk from hotel

Bourbon Street is about 2 blocks. There are several nice restaurants also in a walking distance as well as shopping.
