Run down disappointment
I was surprised at the deteriorated condition of the room. Bathroom floor was rotted out. Sheets were so thin they were like sheer fabric. Old, worn out and a high crime area of the French Qtr. Armed robbery and purse snatchings in the street in front of hotel late night. Dangerous to walk to & from at night.

Loved the location!
We enjoyed our stay; staff was very friendly! Our room was very small and since our balcony overlooked a main street, it was somewhat noisy. I'm guessing that's due to a cheaper rate (??) A very old hotel with lot's of character! Would stay again, but in a bigger room!

A Great Find!
What a great find! The hotel is charming and peaceful. Just a beautiful setting with well kept walkways and plants. The staff was very friendly and helpful. This was my first trip to New Orleans, I will be returning and this is the place to stay. I wouldn't recommend it for people with children as the pool areas are small and primarily there were all adults. Parking would be my only complaint as they have a very small lot which we did not get to park in so we had to park about 8 blocks away at $25 per day.

Pay a little extra for a better hotel
I booked this room to save some money and quickly regretted it. My room was right next to the pool & the entrance was from the outside. The door was hard to open & I had to put my shoulder into it to open it. That Saturday night there was a loud group of people by the pool playing music. The pool hours were until 11 pm but no one told them anything & they continued until past 3 AM. I told the front desk the next morning & they said people were "just letting their hair down for the holiday weekend". Then housekeeping bangs on my door the next morning to ask me if "I need anything". When I said I didnt I had to inital a form. The room had no alarm clock and the tv looked like it was from the mid 90s. I would sugest everyone pay a little extra and stay somewhere else.

Good value, but don't expect luxury
We booked this hotel on an [...] special at an average daily rate of about $100. At this price, the Hotel St. Pierre is a fantastic value. It's on the fringe of the French Quarter, so be prepared to do some moderate walking. Our room seemed clean, but it needed some updating. The carpet was old, the dressers were rickety, the comforter had a small hole in it and the television was embarrassingly small and outdated. There were signs, though, that the owners are gradually updating. The bathroom seemed to have been remodeled in the last year or so and the tag on our mattress said it was manufactured in 2008 (I checked). The grounds are well kept and charming. All in all, it's decent place and I'd stay here again. But I wouldn't pay more than $120 a night.

Coop's Place on Decatur is a fantastic lunch spot if you're looking for a bar that serves authentic cajun cuisine in a casual atmosphere.

Cute, quant, great location for the pric
Had a great time at this location. It was not too far from the main area of the French Quarter and because it was away from the loud parts, very easy to sleep at night. The rooms are somewhat small and this isn't a 5 star place, but it's got charm and character. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is basically cereal, doughnuts, bagels, and oatmeal, but it was still sufficient for my needs.

Historic Vibe in the Quarter
St. Pierre hotel is in a great location... far enough off the madness that is Bourbon street but still within stumbling distance back after a night out and easy walking to everything in the Quarter. The buildings themselves that make up the hotel are the reason to stay.. historic cyprus and brick construction with french doors... our room was on a shared walkway/balcony that looked over adjacent tiled rooftops that made us feel miles away from a modern city. Don't expect anything fancy in the room... ours lacked a hairdryer, ac was super loud, and some of the furniture was a little worse for wear but who cares... you're not going to New Orleans to sit in your room are you? Two small pools are charming, free breakfast in a room adorned with Jazz Museum memorabilia is fun, and the staff is helpful and friendly. Felt safe the entire time there and never heard any neighboring guests while in room... Great for the price if you want something that feels like it belongs in the french quarter and you don't care about interior of the hotel room so much...
