Family Vacation

We arrived early and they got us in our room asap....our room was so clean it was amazing. They really paid attention to detail, they checked our bags in early and held them until late afternoon for us at no extra charge so we wouldn't have to carry them all over town. I was very impressed with the beautiful patio and history of this very quaint hotel. I would definately stay there again.

Delightful experience

I found the Hotel to be quaint and cozy . I loved the French Quarter location . The style and architicture truly reminiscent of old New Orleans .The hotel staff always asking me if I needed anything or how was my stay . I found the cost reasonable when I was searching for a hotel and after my stay I can say that I plan on staying at the Hotel Royal on my next vist to the French Quarter in New Oeleans .

Dining tip: Long walk from hotel

Have Sunday brunch at the Palace Cafe on Canel St . It was a rather fine looking spot but casual attire seemed OK and I thought the menu offerings were great . Good spot to dine in or sit out front and watch the street .

Classy and Romatic Getaway

The hotel staff was greatly helpful and informative. The location of the hotel couldn't have been any more convenient to all the most popular areas, while still being located on a very quiet and peaceful street. Not only is the outside of the hotel beautiful, but the inner courtyard and rooms are lovely. The hotel has so much character, and is quite romantic and rustic, while still pampering you! I will absolutely stay at only this hotel whenever I visit New Orleans now!

Great Location & Value

The hotel is centrally located in the Quarter with very clean and comfortable rooms. No special "extras" that aren't necessary anyway and may not be for the physically handicapped. I recommend this hotel for anyone who appreciates the perfect location in the French Quarter and is away from all of the chaos of the other major hotels. Great Value!

A good deal in the French Quarter

This new, remodeled hotel is closer to a B'n'B (except that there is no breakfast) than a hotel, but it is a good bargain because of its location. Sure, it doesn't have a bar, but Flanagan's is right next door and it is open 24 hours. It doesn't have a breakfast room either, but the Community Coffee store is just across the street and it opens early. The rooms are smallish, but everything else about them --bedding, showers, lighting-- are fine. Closet space was a little cramped, but doable. Internet service was fine. Staff was excellent at getting taxis. The hotel is 1 block off Bourbon Street, but no noise came through.
