A time-honored New Orleans landmark, this French Quarter hotel has been owned and operated by five generations of the Monteleone family since 1886. It has appeared in movies, television and literary works. Keurig coffee makers, plush robes, marble and granite bathrooms, a heated rooftop pool, and a state-of-the-art fitness center are just some of the luxurious amenities in the Hotel Monteleone. Literary-themed suites pay homage to famous authors like Ernest Hemingway and Tennessee Williams, who visited and even wrote about the place. These well-appointed suites have plush furniture, parlors that can accommodate 15 to 70 people, and balconies with views of the Mississippi River and French Quarter.

Dining tip: Long walk from hotel

Praline Connection on Frenchmen street is a great spot for lunch or dinner. Or Elizabeth's in the Bywater for breakfast. You won't be disappointed.

Family Vacation

Hospitable and prompt service, wished guestroom space were a bit larger but still great for the overall value and experience. Having stayed there a few times before, it was consistent with past great experiences.

A hotel convenient to everything in the

The hotel was very busy but the doormen took care of parking and we checked in quickly. Carousel Bar is a spot not to miss. The room was clean, quiet, bed was very comfortable and we could adjust the temperature as we liked. Bathroom was well stocked with great towels, robes and toiletries. Complimentary deluxe continental breakfast while renovations are made to the restaurant was wonderful. Lots of fruit, pastries, cereal and beverages. This is our French Quarter headquarters!

Hotel Monteleone

In New Orleans for business. The Monteleone is an excellent hotel and the service is tops. Regular rooms are comfortable but smallish. The restaurant and some of the meeting areas were being renovated at the time of the stay. The hotel provided a complimentary continental breakfast to make up for the closed restaurant. The continental breakfast was excellent but the room was small and the wait line became quite long after 8am.

Awesome Experience

This is a classic New Orleans Hotel. There is construction going on but it effects the outside sidewalk more then inside the hotel. The staff was very efficient except for my key which didn't work the first time. The complementary enhanced continental breakfast was very elegant with fresh linens at the table - it was so popular I needed to wait 5 minutes to get seated. Bottom line I would definately stay again with the nice price of under $119.

Dining tip: Short walk from hotel

Nola is in my opinion the best of Emeril Lagasse's restaurants and is three blocks from the hotel. It is well worth the walk which you will need to burn off the extra caloric intake of the awesome meal.
