Acme oyster just around the corner. Unassuming, excellent seafood, Don't let the long line fool you, it won't take long to get in, and it's very much worth the wait.

Classic French Quarter

This hotel is in the perfect location if you want to have a very easy walk to Bourbon street, and to Jackson square. There are also many antique stores and art galleries you will go by on the way to either destination, making your morning stroll to Cafe Du Monde very pleasant. The average rooms are a little small, and so is the pool area. This is to be expected in an older hotel. Hotel Monteleone is otherwise very up-to-date, but it has still managed to keep its charm. They say that the 14th floor is haunted if you are interested in that sort of thing. We had no "experiences" like that, but the ghost stories makes the hotel an even more interesting place to stay. We had a very pleasant stay at the Hotel Monteleone.

Go to the Court of Two Sisters for the Jazz brunch if you get a chance. The buffet was amazing, and you will get a chance to sample many local dishes.

Great Stay

Great location, a beautiful hotel. Older hotel, so the room was a little smaller, but we loved it. Really enjoyed the rooftop pool area. Views were fantastic.

As Advertised

Wanted a historic hotel on or near Bourbon Street and the Monteleon fit the bill. A bit expensive but for a 1-night stay was both convenient and beautiful.

Right in the Middle of Things!

Hotel Monteleone is for anyone who wants to be right in the middle of the comings and goings in New Orleans' French Quarter. The ambience on the streets of the Quarter is like that of no other city, and to be able to find good food, good music, and good people watching within a few blocks of our comfortable rooms was great, The staff, from the check-in desk to the concierge to the doorman - all were very helpful in making my stay memorable.

Perfect French Quarter location

Great hotel if you want to be right in the mix. Rooms are fine but some are smaller than others. The one my wife and I stayed in was pretty cramped. Bar and lounge area is a great place to relax at the end of the day. Pool on the other hand was pretty small for a hotel with that many rooms/guests.

Overnight Getaway

The hotel was perfectly located in the French Quarter. The staff was pleasant and accomodating. Everything was clean and well presented, The only issue we had was the loud sound when the toilet flushed each time. Other than that we would gladly visit the hotel again.

Historic Hotel in the French Quarter

Even during the madness of Mardi Gras this hotel was a haven to return to every time we needed a break. The room was on the small side but the bathroom was larger and more modern than you would expect in a 125 year old hotel. Don't miss the Carousel Bar off the lobby- its not you that's spinning in circles, it's the bar!

Napoleon House for Muffalettas are much better than Maspero's or Central Grocery where all the long lines are.
