A time-honored New Orleans landmark, this French Quarter hotel has been owned and operated by five generations of the Monteleone family since 1886. It has appeared in movies, television and literary works. Keurig coffee makers, plush robes, marble and granite bathrooms, a heated rooftop pool, and a state-of-the-art fitness center are just some of the luxurious amenities in the Hotel Monteleone. Literary-themed suites pay homage to famous authors like Ernest Hemingway and Tennessee Williams, who visited and even wrote about the place. Great hotel, high price

Great hotel. Wonderful rooms and very helpful staff. My main complaint would be the price, but I think we paid extra for going on a popular weekend (all of the hotels were booked with hematologists).

Great Hotel for the price

Hotel was nice. Great location to Bourbon Street which is one block away. Very close to Cafe Du Monde, within walking distance to Superdome. Went for the Saints/Pats game and had a great time! Only concerns were that the pool is VERY small and NO hot tub. Also the restaurant at the hotel was poor. The waitress staff acted "spacey", forgot our appetizers, and then forgot our salads, dinner was a little cold, and when the bill came we were double charged for desserts. They didn't do anything to accommodate for their mistakes. So I don't recommend the restaurant downstairs. Also in the rooms you need to be careful, they advertise they have a mini bar stocked with sodas food and other drinks, however if you even touch anything you get charged even if you don't open it. So be careful when traveling with little ones when they go to open doors. Other than that the staff was friendly, helpfull and everything was clean. Would stay here again!

Beautiful Hotel

Absolutely beautiful!  You are close to everything you want to see, shopping, restaurants, Bourbon St. etc.  The great thing is that you don't have to endure the noise that can be extreme on Bourbon St.  The staff was very courteous & met our every need.  The Carousel Bar is a must see!  We'll definately stay here everytime we visit New Orleans!
