50/50 review...

Location was great...Steps away from Bourbon Street and didnt hear all the noise of Bourbon Street. AND great free hot breakfast! Trying to find the place was a night pair. They are under construction so we drove by it 3 times...they actually ended up coming outside to look for us. And when I got my final email from them about my booking it was called St. Louis Hotel. We had issues with getting new towels and the room cleaned daily. Yes we slept in but were told if we talked to the desk by 2pm we would be fine. And with four of us in the room and no towels it sucked. MAKE SURE TO ASK NOT TO BE IN A 20 room. These rooms are next to the elevator that goes up and down all day and night. You are woken up all the time as the elevator shaft is against your wall. IT IS SO LOUD! Also on Monday, our last day they started major construction projects outside our window and the courtyard. No notice was given they were doing these repairs. It would of been nice to be notified that we would be woken up at 8am. Overall if you are looking for somewhere nice and are not planning on doing the typical New Orleans scene this place is fine.

Excellent hotel, very pretty and well-located; just a little noisy

The hotel was beautiful, the staff was nice, the room was very comfortable and clean. Only issue was a bit of noise in the morning (I think there was a supply closet near my room, and the housekeeping staff was slamming the doors really early when I was still trying to sleep). But I got a great deal, so I can't complain too much. Definitely recommend.

Excellent service and location

Overall nice stay.just a few complaints. No feather pillows, only firm poly fill. Also, they were painting the building and one day there was scraping going on all day just outside my window. The free breakfast was surprisingly good and served till 11. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, and you can't beat the location.

Entertainment tip: Short walk from hotel

There is a Burlesque show that happens at midnight on Friday just across the street at the Irvin Mayfield Jazz Club that is excellent- no cover and reasonable drink prices.

Awesome

I absolutely loved staying at this hotel. The stag was very friendly and helpful with sharing with us where to go, where to eat and setting up our tours. When I go back I will be staying here again. The location was perfect right between royal and bourbon.

Very nice French Quarter hotel

The Hotel Mazarin is a boutique hotel in the French Quarter that is half a block from Bourbon street. We had two rooms, a double the opened to the courtyard that was spacious, and a petit king that was in the "quieter" section. We were on the third floor but had to take the elevator to the 2nd floor and then walk up a flight of stairs. This room was tiny, barely wider than the king sized bed. One side had no bed side table. It was ok because we didn't spend much time in the room, but it WAS one of the smallest rooms I've ever stayed in. The rooms were clean with comfortable beds and duvets and plenty of pillows. The towels were plentiful and soft. The bathroom was small as well in both rooms. Single sink and narrow ledge that really wasn't adequate for all my toiletries. Our key cards kept deactivating. I asked for a rollaway for the double room and was told two days in a row one was not available because they were so full. On the third day I was told they don't have rollaways. They have an included breakfast that was basic, but a nice option. All the staff was very friendly. I would consider staying here again, but I'd get a larger room.

Great Place to Stay

The location was great, walking distance to everything. When we entered the hotel we were greeted by friendly staff, this continued throughout the stay. The room was very cute, cozy, and clean. We stayed on the back side of the hotel, so it was neither the front or the courtyard, this side was very quite, well i would have to say that Friday night you were able to very slightly hear the Bourbon street party, but nothing that would keep you awake, the room did have ear plugs on the end table if anyone should happen to be a very light sleeper. There is complimentary water in and outside of the refrigerator, that is replaced once used. Our room was cleaned everyday with all used towels replaced, we never came back to our room having not been cleaned. They also offer a great complimentary breakfast. This was the best, bacon, sasusage, eggs, grits, fruit bowls, wide assortment of breads and pastries, yogurt, cereal and a great assortment of beverages. The beautiful courtyard was perfect for breakfast. When leaving the hotel take a left and less than a block away is Bourbon Street. If you take a right one block away is Royal Street, amazing antique shops!!! If you keep straight up you will reach Decater Street, turn left and as you walk you will find the French Quarters, shops, music, bars, food and more. All walking distance from this beautiful hotel!

An Oasis!

What a gem in the midst of the madness of tbe French Quarter. The staff was courteous, professional and helpful with tips and suggestions (special thanks to Larry, Elliott and Solomon!). The rooms are very clean, the bed was super comfortable and surprisingly it was quiet being so close to Bourbon Street. I will definitely stay here again. Also, the complimentary breakfast is delicious!
