Horrible Experience
This hotel had the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I will never stay at this hotel again. The front desk people were RUDE and to top it off the air didn't work in the room and it was HOT!

Wild party friendly
Across from my hotel room were 4 rooms filled with young people (early 20's), 4 to a room, of both sexes who kept their doors open all night, visited back and forth having a good time, drinking and slamming doors. After being kept up all night the first night there, I asked to be moved to another room, but was refused. I was told to call Security, which I had done the first night. Security came, admonished the young people to keep down the noise, and as soon as Security left the floor, the noise resumed. I was told to call Security repeatedly because the hotel has a zero tolerance policy. Finally I was told you know, this is the French Quarter! So perhaps the Chateau LeMoyne should bill itself as a hotel for young drinking, partying people ONLY. Other than spending 3 sleepless nights at the hotel, it was ok.

The location was great and the staff was very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The room was comfortable. It is important to remember that this is a renovation of a historic group of buildings and is quite picturesque.

Good Location-Nice Rooms
This was my first Trip to New Orleans in about 15 years. The Holiday Inn French Quarter Chateau LeMoyne was in an excellent location. The rooms were very clean and the staff pleasant. Everything is pretty well within walking distance (Bring your sneakers though). I would stay there again in a heartbeat.

Dining tip:
Short walk from hotel
You gotta hit the he Cafe Du Monde for beinets and coffee. One hint is that the tables are on a first come first serve basis. Don't stand there and wait for someone to walk you to your table. The place is so busy you'll lose out on a table.

Drop the mardi gras armbands and fix the checkout problem
The general experience was great. Quiet room (which you need when spending Mardi Gras there), excellent location, pretty interior and just all around convenient. The elevators could be faster but not a major problem. There were only two issues, both of which are minor. 1. They (and looked like other hotels) make you wear an arband during Mardi Gras so they can tell you are a registered guest. That is tacky and really not what adults want to have to do. Also, you better not meet anyone that you want to take to the hotel because they will not be allowed in. 2. The checkout feature using the menu on the television did not work. And when I went to checkout with a live person after the television feature did not work, he was busy trying to fix someone else's bill. After 15 minutes I had to place my keys on the checkout counter and leave so as not to miss my plane. Seems to me on the day Mardi Gras ends their would be more than one person working the desk at 10 am in the morning. Not good.
