Great room at a great price.

The Hilton staff and hotel itself was wonderful. Also, being on St. Charles you are not too far to walk anywhere, Superdome, Bourban St, Harrah's, you name it.

Decent walk (or quick cab/buggy ride) but do not leave New Orleans without getting some beignets from Cafe du Monde.

Great Hotel in a Great Location

My friends booked this hotel for my bachelor party a few years ago and it was great then. So, when it came time for my wife to plan a bachelorette party for her friend, I recommended this one. It is an older hotel that has that luxurious and extravagant feel to it while still maintaining a certain charm. It is very conveniently located within close proximity to Bourbon St. and the French Quarter - Great for just such occasions! My wife said the only problem she had was the water pressure was very low, but this was probably a city problem and not the hotels fault. Price is very comparable to other hotels in the region; cheaper than most in fact. Bottom Line: Definitely Recommend to others.

NFL Weekend

The experience started as you valet your car. Both the valet and the bellman were personal, yet professional. The check in and out were quick and the same professional and slightly conversational personality existed. The rooms were spacious, smelled good and had that Old Southern Charm. The locataion was great if you are not planning on spending all your time in the French Quarter, which is what we did. The street car runs in front of the building and is a nice ride to Uptown, which is where more of the locals go. It is also a quick walk to shopping, the casino, the river and the aquarium. Valet parking was a bit expensive at $30 and although I am sure you can self park, it was not offered.

Dining tip: In Hotel

Lukes, the restaurant in the hotel was impressive. We just stopped in to check it out and decided to eat and have drinks. There are many wonderful options on the appetizer menu, the raw bar items were delious and there are many drinks that are out of the norm. Worth a visit, especially if the weather is bad or you do not want to fight the crowds at the more well know restaurants.

You don't always get what you pay for!

I reserved and paid for a room with double beds. When I arrived they told me they only had king beds available. How awkard. My coworker slept on the floor for two nights.
