My daughter and I went for a play in town. The theatre is only 2 miles from the hotel. The hotel is located on the ... riverfront and is connected to the Riverwalk Mall. Also right outside the hotel doors is a trolly stop that take you straight to the French Market shopping area and wonderful restaurants. The best thing is the room was clean, the beds were large pillowtop mattress's, the staff was wonderfully sweet and helpful. I have stayed in New Orleans before but this hotel out rates them all. I will stay there again! Loved It!!!

Great Place to Stay! Wonderful View!
Jackie Sep 27, 2009
My only complaint was the valet parking because the first attendant took to long to find my car when I needed to leave for ... the airport and I almost missed my flight. It took 3 people to perform this task and much more time than I could wait. I felt that I could have done this better myself without the extra charge. Loved room service. Loved the view of the river. There was nothing that you needed that you could not find in five minutes. I felt totally at home. There are restaurants and shops right there in the hotel. The bed is extraordinary. When I woke up...I hardly knew where I was because the sleep was so peaceful. They also have an on-call doctor available. I have asthma and it was very comforting to know that I could find a doctor if I had to.

Great couples getaway/clean/friendly
Fins Sep 24, 2009
The trip was truly enjoyable. The hotel was very clean and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The one issue that ... took me by surprise was the fee for the fitness center since we were already staying at the hotel. I usually base my decision on accomodations by the availabiltity of a fitness center so that I may continue with my fitness schedule. I was extremely surprised by the fee and in future bookings I will specifically have to ask this question. Not sure if I will return to a Hilton Hotel if they continue to charge a hotel guest for the use of the fitness facility -- there are certainly other hotels which include this with the stay.

Young Couple Sep 8, 2009
This hotel had a great location. We were within easy walking distance to all the popular attractions. The hotel was clean ... and comfortable. The only negatives were that the walls were paper thin so you could hear everything in the room next to you. Also be advised that parking will run you $30 per night which is typical of downtown New Orleans.

This hotel is in a fantastic location, walking distance to everything! They did provide port a cribs for my kids. The rooms ... were clean, and the deal that we got through Orbitz was great. The only bad thing was the insane parking prices. $30 per day to park yourself or $36 to vallet.

Nice hotel in a good location, across the street from Harrah's and walking distance to Bourbon street. The only issue I had ... was I reserved a King bed room and got to very small doubles. Great hotel, would stay again**. Room was very clean, service excellent, right across the street from Harrah's!! **If ... there's an option NOT to have a conjoining room, take it. I was lucky to get quiet neighbors. I could hear them put ice in their glasses through the door. Also, self parking is $30 but I saw a place by the Westin(not covered)for $20. Location: It took about 5-10 minutes(depending on pace)to walk from the front door of the hotel to Jackson square.

Good, but expected better from HILTON
Southern Mama Sep 7, 2009
Couldn't have asked for a better location!!!.... Purposefully booked a king bed though, so we could sleep with our infant ... daughter and not have to pay for a crib... Got there, and we were told we had 2 doubles! It took a manager to finagle a king (interesting that HE could do it...) Other than that, it was fine. I have to admit, I expected better from the Hilton... Was hoping for a nice spacious bathroom, etc. It was still very nice and clean though. EVERYTHING carried a charge though.... use of the business center, sodas in the vending machines were THREE DOLLARS, buffet breakfast was $19/person, so the next day we ate at the "Riverbend" Cafe.... 3 muffins and drinks were just as expensive! Overall a great experience. Very relaxing, and the most important thing was the BED WAS SOOOO COMFY!!!!
