Beautiful, convenient and very comfortab
We loved the hotel, beautiful, comfortable and great location. Then nighttime and noise all night keeping us awake. Seems we were next to the laundry facility. Next morning asked for differenct room and they moved us immediately. Thanks. The restaurants were great and the staff in all areas very, very good. Our only lasting complaint was we valet parked and found our expensive car sitting in the hot sun, no cover. The hotel has a huge parking garage and other hotels have valet parking areas in their garage, so that's what we expected. All parking is very expensive. We expected better from Hilton.

Great location, very clean, low on charm
Location is terrific--easy, safe walking distance to the French Quarter and all the restaurants in the CBD. Our king-size bed room was unavailable as we checked in very late--they upgraded us to a suite at no additional cost. The only problem is the elevator to the parking garage and health club. There are only two cars and it gets backed around checkout time. The hotel is clean and updated, but lacking in New Orleans charm. The room was very quiet, which I guess makes up for the lack of charm. Overall, a fantastic stay.

It was fantastic mother/daughter getaway
Really liked being on the street car access and being in the center of New Orleans - the only thing (I did not understand) even after booking and paying in advance through Orbitz the Hotel held a freeze on the credit card I booked reservations through! That was my only complaint...Oh when on the street car I was charged full price instead of senior citizen - all in all a very pleasant experience!!LOVED THE SHOPS BELOW THE HOTEL:)

Very nice hotel in a good location.
Great place, great services. The location was perfect if you don't mind riding the street car or walking a few minutes to the Quarter. For what we expect from a Hilton, it worked for us. The only thing I was a bit turned off by was the concierge who seemed a bit low brow for the position he held. I felt like he was more interested in selling us tours than providing sound advice that I usually expect from a concierge at a Hilton. Otherwise, everything was great and I'd stay here again.

DON'T pay the overpriced parking ($30/day). Instead if you're there over a weekend, just park in the street near the hotel. Walk to the other side of Harrah's. We parked in front of the Hotel Ambassador. It's free after 6PM and all weekend in most places (check the meters FIRST!!!).

Wonderful Family experience
New Orleans is back better than ever. We experienced the great flavor of wonderful food, art and music. We took a carriage ride through the French Quarter. It was so romantic, even with two children. The Hilton has the most comfortable beds!! WE CAN'T WAIT TO COME BACK!
